Okay: Redford's team was the New York Knights. Team they beat to win it all was Pittsburgh. On Redford's bat was "Wonder Boy." On the batboy's bat was "Savoy Special."
I only remember that it was a semi-pro team because of the exasperated way Wilford Brimley repeats it back to him. "I should've been a farmer." LOL
not Rochester. put it this way, the second part is a nickname of a NHL Franchise and the first name is a alphabet, language and group of people...
Darren McGavin starred in many tele shows and movies. I'm shocked he's not listed among the stars considering his fame in the business.......You younger guys might not know how much acting he did in different things...... I can only remember him saying semi-pro also......
Redford says it to him. Then when he's at dinner with the other coach, the coach says the last part of the name back to him. i can see you guys not getting this. --the Hebrew Oilers!
im done with Wonderboy for the week! in the movie the Untouchables -- Sean Connery uses a real person's name, a famous military leader's name, when Costner kills a man at the bridge raid in the cabin he didn't want too. Sean Connery says "well, he's as dead as ____?" What famous person's name did he use in that line?
