Spoilers Ahead. I can't find the spoiler tag, so be warned. Seriously, this will be spoiler central as I won't hold back Spoiler The PPV was actually pretty good from what I saw. That said, I skipped around because I was at work watching yesterday, and didn't want to sit for 3+ hours staring at my monitor. I'll discuss what I saw The women's MITB match was actually pretty good. In fact, it was better than the men's imo. They had some big spots that I just wasn't expecting, and a good amount of those spots actually looked painful (when Ember Moon cross body blocked Sasha Banks on the ladder, I actually cringed because it looked painful). The winner wasn't too surprising as I guessed only three women had a legit shot to win (Charlotte, Ember Moon, or Alexa Bliss). The raw women's title match was also pretty good overall. Considering Ronda Roussey has limited wrestling experience, she sells moves fairly well and holds her own. Alexa Bliss attacking her right before she won, and then cashing in for the title win was very great story telling for me. It was perfect for her character considering she loves the title. Bliss running around with the briefcase for the next 8 months like Carmella did just wouldn't have worked. Speaking of Carmella, I didn't care for the smackdown women's match at all, but I was surprised to see Asuka lose. Even with the Elmsworth distraction. She went from undefeated for, I think, 3 years to very beatable in a short time. Smackdown has been horrible for her career. Styles vs Nakamura was simply phenomenal. I love the fact Styles is a "face" who has no issues pulling some "heel" tactics. I love the random cockiness during the match also. It almost gives him that "Stone Cold" aura. The match itself was great also. Even though Nakamura lose, he had a great showing. Beating that 10 count after the Styles Clash from the steps to the ground outside, then immediately taunting Styles when he got up made me love his character. The men's MITB match was......underwhelming, honestly. Listen, I love Strowman's character. It's been awhile since an "unstoppable monster" was actually booked well and could actually perform fairly well in the ring. That said, the match was super predictable. Everyone attacks Strowman, he kicks ass for awhile, gets taken out for awhile, later wins the match. Usually there's a chance for the surprise, but not in this match, not to me. And now Strowman has to wait for days Lesnar is actually at raw in order to cash it in (for the record, I haven't watched Raw from yesterday yet so I don't know what happened). They really need to not put titles on part timers. Even Ronda Roussey has more appearances than Lesnar since Wrestlemania. Hell, she's also had more matches. If I didn't discuss the match, I didn't watch it.
