just watched world war z. hated it. hate zombies and the movie was slow and just silly.

saw oblivion - could've been better. it wasn't.

star trek into darkness - very solid. should've used a better backstory, but very good.

a place beyond the pines - terrible. all the hype and it was all in the first hour.

house of cards season 1 - fantastic! highly recommended.

    seeing iron man 3 tonight!

Watched Ironman 3 last night. I thought it was pretty good. I have no intentions of watching World War Z.

jeep--i have netflix, so i'll watch anything. haha.

over 6+ yrs of netflix and 600 dvds etc. watch entire tv shows i missed on tv while on neflix and many bad movies. out of all the movies i saw on netflix and including the classics. only about 25-40 were good. every other dvd i picked sucked! the trailer looks great. the movie blows.

I have Netflix also. I use it more to watch the cheesy horror movies and some tv shows. I used to buy movies but quit since I usually only watch them once and then they sit. At the price anymore I just use Amazon to rent it for 48 hours.

jeep--good stuff. i have a cheap netflix plan so i go through 20-24 dvds a month.

  6. Does porn count?

    no porn on netflix.

iron man 3 sucked! it's all about the suit now. little dialogue, bad acting and all suit. lame!

saw Prisoners last night. Wow! Creepy, sick, twisted, twists, and great performances! Paul Dano should get an Oscar Nom if not win! Wow. Great stuff. The movie isn't for everyone, but really solid.

  11. just watched DRIVER with Ryan Gossling
odd movie reminded me slightly of Taxi Driver 8)

  12. i've been trying really hard to watch snatch. i can't ever remember stopping a movie this many times - 4 in the first half hour - and picking it back up later. gonna try one more time, but i have a feeling this one's getting nuked.

Driver was very overhyped if you ask me. Not bad, not great.

haha lulz, i like that. "getting nuked."

  14. i actually ended up watching it all the way thru. it had its moments, but it's not a film i'll ever choose to watch again.

guy ritchie has some truly annoying habits as a director, reminded me of rob zombie - stupid cutesy shit that does nothing but distract from the story, and adds nothing to it other than raising the annoyance level, imo. i didn't like it when welles did a lot of that stuff in citizen kane, and this was certainly no better.

lol, nuking is a term left over from a program i took over the development of. it referred to removing, with a single click, all traces of a particular record stored by the program :)

    Lulz ~

Sorry to hear you didn't like Snatch. I enjoyed it a lot -- agree that a lot of times it was more style than substance, but I thought it was still pretty good. Thought Pitt was really good in it.

Did you see Ritchie's previous movie, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels?

    Porn ALWAYS counts.

guy ritchie and orson welles mentioned in the same sentence. now i know the end is near.

i did like how ritchie made the first sherlock holmes movie. very witty. the second one was decent, but the first was better.

Haven't seen a movie in the theater in while; seems I only go once a year or so. But I REALLY want to see "The Counselor" -- written by Cormac McCarthy (No Country for Old Men). IMO, McCarthy's the greatest living American writer.

still hate the ending to no country axe. what happens to anton chigur???? and tl jones silly story at the end has no point to it. it has nothing to do with the story.

    the counselor looks good though.

The Conjuring was the last movie I saw. Not a packed house so a lot of the scary moments weren't as intense as I would have liked them. Good movie though.
