PPR league (1 pt). I need to choose one keeper from 2016 roster - and give up the corresponding pick: Odell Beckham - Rd 1 Melvin Gordon - Rd 7 Michael Thomas - Rd 7 Looking for advice. I've been torn for 6 months. Have a week to decide.
That's what I've been thinking until recently and then I looked at some of the guys that went in the 2nd last year... Leveon Bell (suspension) Ezekiel Elliott (this has been mitigated a little) Dez Bryant Mike Evans ... and I think to myself do I need to keep Odell away from them? Dumb?
That's always a consideration. I see people constantly giving the upper hand to their competition because they don't think that through. Knowing your pick position beforehand would be a big help. The number you choose at affects this decision. If you have a top 4 pick then you are hitting the ground running with either 7th round keeper. If it's a later one then keeping Beckham, because of your original concern, makes a lot more sense. I'm leaning towards Michael Thomas.
Definitely Thomas, then hope Beckham is still there in the 1st..If you keep Beckham, good chance Thomas isn't there with your second round pick, which is where you will be starting this draft.
There is one positive of going with Gordon. All 3 are 1st round talents and if you take Gordon you have a better chance of getting Beckham or Thomas with your 1st pick. That will get you a 1st round RB and WR.
Now you're really making me think. Here's where everyone stands in the league: My options: Round 1 Odell Beckham Round 4 Doug Baldwin Round 7 Melvin Gordon Round 7 Michael Thomas Round 10 Corey Coleman Team 1: Round 1 Antonio Brown Round 2 Leveon Bell Round 3 LeSean McCoy Round 7 Tyreek Hill Team 2: Round 1 Todd Gurley Round 2 Rob Gronkowski Round 3 Julian Edelman Round 8 Tom Brady Team 3: Round 1 David Johnson Round 2 Dez Bryant Round 3 Devonta Freeman Round 7 Drew Brees Team 4: Round 1 Julio Jones Round 3 Brandon Marshall Round 4 Aaron Rodgers Round 7 Spencer Ware Team 5: Round 3 Alshon Jeffrey Round 4 Demaryious Thomas Round 7 Greg Olson Round 10 Stefon Diggs Round 14 Tyrod Taylor Team 6: Round 2 Ezekiel Elliott Round 3 T.Y.
