Ka'dar Hollman to practice squad

The Falcons web site lists one remaining open spot on the practice squad. Apparently it's cornerback prospect Ka'dar Hollman, who was drafted in the 6th round in 2019 by the Packers.

It's still a bit of a mystery though... the transactions page on the team's official web site says that they signed "OL Ka'Dar Hamilton", and they don't list him at all in their roster/practice squad page. Meanwhile, the NFL site has a practice squad tracking page. That page lists Hollman as joining the Falcons practice squad, but their transactions page doesn't list the signing.

So for now I'm going with it being former Packers cornerback Ka'dar Hollman. Positives: he's fast, athletic, and good at jamming people on the line. Negatives: he'll be 28 this season, and he's still working on fundamentals.

I see him as a "system fit" type of player - if you play a bump-and-run type of scheme with safety help over the top, he's your man. If you play anything else, you'll need to get him in practice for a few weeks to put him through the paces and see if he can hack it. And that's exactly what Atlanta is doing.

If I ran the scout team, I'd cross train him as a wide receiver. I'd do this largely to give him the perspective of the receivers going up against him. But I'd also want to see what he can do with his size, speed and agility. Three years ago he put up a 6.81 cone drill at his pro day along with a 4.39 time in the 40. If he can catch a screen pass, he could be off to the races.
