https://draftwire.usatoday.com/2019...ospect-interview-justin-layne-michigan-state/ This you will enjoy ... High High marks all around. It feels like he may not be the most polished in the class but ridiculous athleticism and practice/games under his belt may propel him to lead in a class 2-3 years down the road, looking back. https://steelersdepot.com/2019/04/the-person-behind-the-player-cb-justin-layne/
This could be really good, lots of potential. Can this coaching staff tap the potential? Remains to be seen. Let's just say they haven't had terrific success outside of the WRs and OL (with Munchek) rooms so I will wait and see before getting super excited. The draftee I am most intrigued with from day 3 is Sutton Smith. High motor, seems to get around the edge with bend. He played against lesser competition, but he looks like he could be at worst a good special team guy. I can't wait to see him in the pre-season.
Great point SK ... GREAT point .... the talent is there in this draft , now the once youngster-coach Tomlin needs to grow too and get over himself. Has to F with one's mind to win it all that young. I for one always believe in the power of possibility though.
