06:58 AM ET 05.01 | For Justin Blackmon, the timing of his arrest couldn't have come at a much worse time in terms of lost leverage against the Jaguars. Blackmon's future guarantees will void based on a standard provision in all guaranteed rookie contracts that wipes out the guarantees in the event of a suspension. This means that the Jags can now pull the plug on Blackmon's deal and owe him nothing more, even though top five players otherwise get fully guaranteed contracts for four seasons. Throw in a new G.M. who may have had no desire to pick Blackmon in the first place, and Blackmon could be gone. If the Jaguars are willing to accept the fact that Blackmon will have received roughly $8.5 million for one year, they can move on by asking Blackmon to move out.

My question to you all. Would any of you be interesting in trading for Blackmon to reunite him with Weeden? If so, what would you give to acquire him?

    In all seriousness, Devil,

I didn't care for him during his draft and he has done nothing to change my mind since.

I agree Lym I think he was overrated coming out of college. I just dislike Lombatard and Banner that much more :D

    Watch the Texans game...

If the Jaguars wanted to just get rid of him, I would throw them a 4th rounder to take on the headaches...But I don't think they will.

He is just scratching the surface of his ability at this level..The risk is whether he can mature. History shows us receivers without that maturity level tend to stay the course. That does worry me a great deal...but his talent is there.

i would go for that one .

we have no need for him . who would he replace ? Little ? Gordon ? Bess ? Benji ? Cooper ?

non of the above . we are pretty good at WR

If Blackmon could play either CB or FS Then yea i would trade a mid round pick for him depending on whether he has matured or not . if he hasn't then he isn't worth a late round pick . a knucklehead is a knucklehead ,

Bluez, I would think that he would be an upgrade over Little. just my opinion. The man has much better hands.

  11. He would b an upgrade over every single WR on that list.....unfortunately he can b undisciplined away from football.

    Stopper,

I think that he would fit best in Little's place as more of a chain mover than a game breaker.

Sidebar question. What is the green helmet about? A few of you have them and I am curious.

No Kiddin? When I joined I just had a blank spot. Thank you

Oh, you still have a blank spot

  16. Blackmon is a thicker WR, but he can make big plays going back to his college days....I dont remember seeing Little making those type of plays on a consistent basis.

I'll take Little in the second over Blackmon in the first though.

    Same here.

I think that's one of those "upgrades" they had been talking about. Rather than blanks, they went to blank (or green) helmets.
