If the season ended today your 12 playoff teams would be Steelers, Chiefs, Jaguars, Bills, Patriots, Titans for the AFC and Eagles, Vikings, Panthers, Rams, Seahawks and Saints. Now that is not the fun part of this little post the fun is the little facts about those 12 teams. Looking at who the teams Wins have come against: Of the 12 only 2 teams have faced opponents that combine for a winning record/winning percentage. 1 of those 2 teams faced teams that combined for 25-20 or .555% The other faced teams that combined for 19-18 or .515% 4 teams have beaten two opponents who have a winning record Only 1 team has beaten 3 teams that have a winning record. 5 of the teams have only lost to teams with a winning record. The current playoff team with the easiest schedule so far faced teams that combined for 12-30 or .285% winning percentage For more fun here are the 12 winning percentages for the opponents of all 12 teams .555 .405 .285 .454 .478 .400 .513 .432 .483 .366 .351 .297 What does all this mean absolutely nothing because its not the end of the season i just thought it would be a fun little bit of information to pass on. Latter on Ill reveal which teams are which but of course many of you will probably already know a lot of who is who.
The Steelers faced the 25-20 schedule so far. Why didn't you just say that dude. That includes a game against an 0-8 team.
Sorry I should have said their wins have come against teams with those records I only counted their wins and not their losses and the Steelers wins have not come against teams combine for winning record.
Once again this is just the winning percentage of the teams that the playoff team got a win against. So in the case of the eagles the Chiefs are not included in the percentage because they lost that game. For more fun here are the 12 winning percentages for the opponents of all 12 teams .555 Chiefs They have 2 wins against TWR (teams with a winning record) (Eagles, Patriots) .405 Bills 1 TWR (Falcons) .285 Eagles 1 TWR (panthers) .454 Patriots 2 TWR (Saints, Falcons) .478 Steelers 2 TWR (Vikings, Chiefs) .400 Vikings 1 TWR (Saints) .513 Saints 3 TWR (Panthers, Dolphins, Packers) .432 Panthers 2 TWR (Bills, Patriots) .483 Jaguars 1 TWR (Steelers) .366 Titans 1 TWR (Seahawks) .351 Rams 0 TWR .297 Seahawks 1 TWR (Rams)
I knew all about those especially the Eagles. Early in the season our wins had a total of like 1 win among them after like 5 weeks. They've had to prove themselves for a few more weeks before everyone really took notice.
Some would say they still have a lot to prove with their first half schedule being so weak. Again for just for fun here is the winning percentage of the teams on reaming schedule for these 12 teams Eagles .470 Bills .537 Chiefs .440 Patriots .533 Steelers .433 Vikings .517 Saints .529 Panthers .549 Jaguars .343 Titans .416 Rams .515 Seahawks .517 Again its a bunch of numbers that do not mean anything I just thought it would be fun to look at. Of course several things have already changed to make those winning percentages in some cases a load of BS. Several of those teams face the Packers and Texans in the second half. Neither team is what it was with Rogers going down for the Packers who currently have a winning record and now the Texans who are 3-4 overall but were 3-3 under Watson. Now some will smirk and say whats so great about Watson they were only 3-3 with him at QB but the three losses are the Chiefs, Patriots and Seahawks.
