Just an interesting little tidbit to think upon

Back in Big Ben's rookie season, the Steelers played our Ravens in the initial regular season game. They had Tommy "the insurance man" Maddox as their QB. Our Ravens knocked Tommy into retirement that game and unknowingly, propelled Big Ben into stardom as we all know, he went on to win his first 15 regular season games as a starter.

Fast Forward to this season, The Steelers played our Ravens in a typical slobber knocker of a game in which the Steelers won 23-16 but knocked Joe Flacco out with a hip injury, unknowingly propelling Lamar Jackson into stardom and has won 5 out his first 6 games as a starter.

Interesting how things happen isn't it?

True. Ugh. So my team is responsible for this mess?? That figures actually.

Regardless, though, if the Cleveland Baker's / Cleveland Mayfield's somehow rise up and beat Baltimore on their home turf today, I do not want to miss any of the rants I will see on this message board later tonight. :)

However, my Steelers will probably lose to the Bengals .... it would not surprise me even a little bit to see that happen. Nor would it surprise me to see Tomlin retain his job another year after that. But if the Steelers somehow win and the Ravens somehow lose, well, yeah this board will be good reading material later today! ;)

Luckily CJ Mosely saved the season! So now its pull for a TIE with the Colts/Titans but as for my Ravens, its await the Chargers to fly in :)

Yo Kyreal - These are some big words from Harbaugh along the lines of your dream scenario in the original post of this thread.

Is this some bluff by Harbaugh to sucker in defenses against the run and then throw or does he really believe we are going back to a bygone era or something more run-centric but new in it's design? Quarterbacks used to run a lot more but does anyone think Lamarr can run the ball that much and not get knocked out?

The only thing I know for sure is that if he is allowed full reign of the offense instead of just the bare basics as it was last season, with his skills and speed, it will definitely keep defenses guessing and on their heels all game.
