Its officially week 1 of the NFL Season, its Packers week ladies and gentlemen. I set the over under for Kalil Mack sacks on Rodgers at 4.5
Sunday night just got a lot more interesting. Packers offensive gameplan, no doubt, will change. And if they don't change it, mistakingly thinking there is no way Mack is gonna go, it will be a lot of fun. One thing I found interesting as I've been going through a lot of All-22, is when team were facing Oakland, almost every time they went single man on Mack, the inside run to the B or C went the other way. If that is not an offensive tell that Fangio and Trvethan can take advantage of, I don't know what is. I'm now looking at the short passing plays and it's almost the exact same thing; almost all the plays go to the other side. Same on planned roll-outs. It's a little frustrating that Floyd broke his hand. He's going to be seeing a lot of action.
The good news is Floyd is back at practice so I would assume he is a go. I have heard different reports that he is practicing with a club but could go down to just a brace for games. That being said it was frustrating seeing Floyd play off the ball so much the last 2 seasons when he wasn’t hurt because he was the best pass rusher. Now Vic has 2 OLB’s who can get after the QB and play in space. Makes it difficult to implement the game plan you mentioned above. I have very high expectations for this defense. If Floyd doesn’t take the next step playing opposite Mack he is never going to. Back end needs to show last season was no fluke and they can play as well.
Yes, I know he's back practicing. Sadly, my point isn't about how effective he'll be rushing the passer. I think with him taking on more TE's and the right side, he'll be more effective there. I'm more worried about when they run at him or roll to his side. The big news out of camp by the coaches was how he was now learning to use his hands and maintaining and winning pad level in shedding. It's a lot harder to do with a club.

So we have someone that admittedly knows very little about football complimenting the writings of a knowledgeable, but inebriated poster. That sounds about right for this place.
Well I'm not saying that I actually understood anything he wrote but his thoughts and language were clearly expressed. Sorry, unrepentant teacher here lol.
Great write-up. And i like how you added just a teaspoon of snark in there too. Fully justified after everything these bastards have put us through!
