Here you go.Steelers still alive for a winning season. Realisticly dead for the postseason. how do you feel about this?
Well, thank you money grabbing NFL for taking free games from fans so I couldn't watch but I'll GBU anyway. Good: The D with 3 sacks and 3 picks and only 201 yards given up. Freiermuth with 7 catches. He's coming along as a TE. Pickett spread the ball around. 4 guys had at least 5 catches. The TD was a laser. Good, confident throw. Not in the North basement. The bad: Only 13 points, but they had chances for more. Still have to run the ball better. The ugly: Too many throws at or behind the line of scrimmage. 2 yard pass on a 3rd and 9. What a waste. I hate that INT celebration, by the way. Summary: I have mixed emotions here because I know they're going nowhere and wins hurt their draft spot but I have seen growth from Pickett and I really want to see them win out and it seems doable. I know the championship or bust mentality of the Steelers fans and those expectations are good in that they put pressure on the team and owners but, I ask, what makes this season a success? The team is in transition and needs help in lots of areas. 7,8, or 9 wins is a good showing. I don't know what to think but I can't hope for losses. It's not in me.
My GBU, the Steelers limited Josh Jacobs, who I'm playing in fantasy. I now have a strong chance to win this week which will put me in my fantast finals, playing for $700 for first or $400 for second
My thoughts unless you win the SB who cares if you make the playoffs and this team is not winning the SB. As for the game last night lots of fans gushing about Pickett we spent a first rounder an a QB who may one day be adaquate and thats probably his ceiling.
not really especially if Colts beat the Chargers tonight, look at the schedule of the teams they are trying to catch, it’s doable but of course our beloveds have to win last 2 games Their games against the Patriots, NYJ, Miami that they lost - all winnable games, win one of those games and their chances are dramatically better. Our super Steelers absolutely stunk in Sept & Oct so to be in this position is impressive but of course their schedule lightened up as well what say you?
If it’s tracked as a stat where do the Steelers rank in YAC? It feels like on most completions that the receiver is immediately tackled. D. Johnson’s running backwards after a catch has become insufferable
28 Pittsburgh Steelers 1328 29 Cleveland Browns 1322 30 Baltimore Ravens 1169 31 Atlanta Falcons 1096 32 Chicago Bears 1025
The above may not be completly right/updated pro football refrence has them listed 29th with ravens, falcons, bears behind them.
I'd have to look at it closer, but it would be interesting to see the difference with Diontae between Mitch, Kenny and Mason. I'm assuming he's more productive with 2 out of three, and there is likely a correlation to ball placement when it comes to the change in numbers.
What did you think about Montanas, Ailmans or Bradshaws rookie season. Adaguate would have been a stretch for them. So you rate Pickett higher than those guys.
I’m sure Rudolph is number one because Johnson hasn’t had any yac this season. He had a lot of yac in 2019.
I hope people post mine you and I in a couple years and tell us how awful our Kenny Pickett takes are but we are in alignment. The worst part for me is that in a draft that may see as many as 6 first rounders the Steelers will not even consider a QB in the first round in 2023.
Pickett was the tallest midget in the. Carnival. Imagine if they had drafted Brock Purdy instead of Chris Olakadun
