Welcome to the 2nd annual L4SN GMO Draft.

With the first pick of the draft-

    1. The Cleveland Browns select:

Saquon Barkley, RB Penn State University

With the additions of Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles and Case Keenum, it made the decision to take the best player in the draft an easy one.

  4. LAOJoe Assistant Coach Manager Patreon Silver Maple Leafs Eagles

    As expected.

    Mike Mayock breakdown:
This was a great pick by the Browns, instant improvement for Hue Jackson. Now if they can get long term young solutions blocking in front of him, the Brown's could be a threat to the rest of the division and possibly the whole Conference, because I am Mike Mayock and I say so.

    Mel Kiper breakdown:
I don't really agree with taking an RB with the first overall pick, but I understand why the Browns did it here. Barkley looks good and, if they really think that Foles and Keenum are the long term answer at QB, they don't really need the other guys who were an option here.

That sucks for Barkley. Great player. And now his talent will be wasted in Cleveland.

Just having fun my Cleveland friends.

I mean the last time Cleveland drafted a "generational" RB it didn't exactly work out for them. Clearly that was Cleveland's fault and not the doing of one Trent Richardson... Last I heard he is really enjoying his role with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. I hope Barkley likes Canada!

It took one pick for the heckling to begin. lol! ..Can't say I'm surprised. This is what 1-31 gets ya. What can ya do?....Shame parades and endless party jokes come with the territory.

Until Cleveland proves on the field that they have turned it around, shots from the peanut gallery will continue, as expected.

Alright all -- I am still waiting to hear back from one or two people here but the Giants are likely to move or make the pick before I leave the office today. If anyone else wants #2 shoot me a message soon!

  15. xinik Franchise Player Manager Giants

Alright the giants are done holding this thing hostage.

With the 2nd pick of the 2018 G.M.O. Draft the New York Giant's select:

    Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA

    download.jpg

Rosen may not have the biggest arm in this class and he does have those concussion concerns but he just gets being a QB and makes it all look easy. I assume the medical's check out on this one and grab my top passer and the future behind a 37 year old Eli Manning.

RT the Colts are unofficially on the clock.

I have said that the best place for Rosen would be the Giants behind Eli for a few years. He could play right away if he has to but it'd be ideal if he sat behind a QB. I think they are similar enough to each other as well.

With the 3rd overall pick, the Indianapolis Colts select Bradley Chubb, DE - NC State

We NEED someone to make life tough on opposing Quarterbacks.

I also love what this guy will bring to the huddle.

  19. xinik Franchise Player Manager Giants

Yeah it just feels like a good fit. He is probably game ready today but giving him a season or two to mature (and put some time between those concussions and seeing regular NFL action) could really benefit him. With Shurmer I feel like he will definitely be developed properly. Sucks for Davis Webb who will now be a cheap back-up but I just don't like his tape enough to pass on a guy for him.

Rosen also really has this weird "love child of Eli Manning and Aaron Rodgers" look to him. So it won't take to much getting used to seeing him out there.
