Forum Software Change

On Sunday, July 23rd at 7pm, the forums will be closed for 12 hours, reopening at 7am on Monday, the 24th.

When we go back online the forums will be working with an entirely different software with many different functions than what we currently have.

This is a necessary move to become more mobile friendly and to continue the growth or your community.

You will still log in with all of your current username and password information.

This new software will have an entirely different private messaging system so if you have any PMs with information you would like to retain you must save that material to your device/CPU prior to the shutdown on Sunday.

Now, for some of the new features -

• Ignore Option[/*]
• Updated Private Conversations[/*]
• The ability to follow users[/*]
• Your own news feed for follows[/*]
• A new notification system[/*]
• Improved preference control for your account[/*]
• An Improved posting interface with more features[/*]

...and several other details that are too many to list...

While this is a huge positive step forward there will be some 'getting used to' by those of us that have been here since 2012. I will be more than happy to try and accommodate as many requests and answer as many questions that you may have but I will ask that everyone exercise some patience while I work to make this transition as smooth as possible.

I will update this notice, if necessary, prior to the shutdown on Sunday.

 

You will start to notice some changes here leading up to Sunday. User groups and titles may be discontinued in preparation along with some other profile details.

I am disappointed that I will lose all of my epic PM debate victories over ravens_R_#1, but otherwise it sounds like the updates will be positive! *OK*

 

Don't worry, Mano. R_R#1 will save them and feed them back to you syllable by syllable when it suits the current debate!

 

I would think that #3 would be more than happy to see them deleted forever considering how thoroughly I dismantled all of his pathetic arguments! *KISSING* *WRITE* *YES*

 

I'm not positive, but I think everything gets imported to the new site.

I'm still working on a solution for avatars as well.

 

Funny I never look at my avatar until someone mentions them. I guess I should change my 2016 pre-draft hopeful and find someone new since he's a Raider.
