Flooding in Flowery Branch

    No word on any damage at the team complex (and it's not likely anything serious happened, as there's a big slope down from the back of the complex towards the interstate). But the Flowery Branch area had about 7.5" of rain overnight last night, and Ga 13 (the team facility is where Hog Mountain dead ends into 13) was closed - because it's underwater.

    The second picture down (the one where the road runs down into the water) is facing south on Ga 13 from the heart of the historic district, about 2 miles south of the complex.

    The power was out in the area for part of the night, and early this afternoon the county's emergency management system put out calls to all telephones in Flowery Branch with an advisory to boil water.
