I missed a NFL.com draft yesterday. I was expecting to see a very lousy team... this is what was auto'd to me, lol. Its not too shabby.

 

Yeah, not terrible at all. The algorithms are getting better lol.

You hit on two of my late favorites in Thomas and Edmonds. I took both of them in the majority of my dynasty drafts.

I like the drafting of Guice as a stash in the second round. First round running back talent for next year, basically giving you two first round picks in 2019.

I can't even call you a homer for taking Michel at 8, lol.

Is now the best time to strike a deal if you've got Conner and someone else has Bell?

I was offered Edelman straight up in a 12 team PPR league for Conner by the Bell owner. I have plenty of RB depth and JE was picked 4 rounds earlier and should be a catch machine when he comes off suspension given the rest of the Pats WR options. Is this enough or should I press for more? Was thinking of heaving up Conner/C. Godwin for Edelman/Coleman or Conner/Rudolph for Kelce/Edelman just to gauge how desperate he might really be. Welcome any other thoughts.

Have you countered him yet? Ask for more and see if you get it. He sound more deperate than you, but Edelman wuld be a solid upgrade to your WR corps.

 

I had a question as well. I draft 8th in a 10 team PPR league and feel I messed up by going RB in rds 1 & 2 (was going to go alt btn RB & WR until I saw Cook was still avail). Then there was a massive run on WRs which left me is a bad way for that position. So I waited and used my later picks to secure top rookie talent with good preseasons and practice reports. It also didn't help I had a CBS and Yahoo draft going on at the same time. My team:

I'm second guessing my strategy of loading up on RBs and taking a risk on 2 rookie stud WRs. Anyone think that Sutton will become the stat monster expected and surpass D. Thomas or that Ridley will have a superb rookie season with Matty Ice behind Jones? Should I trade Fourentte or Cook for a top WR?

 

Find a team that's loaded at WR and weak at QB and use Watson to get yourself a stud WR. There's no value in rostering 2 QB's in a 10 team league and Stafford is plenty good enough as your weekly starter. Otherwise, stand on what you have and wait it out a bit...in a 10 team league where you only have to start 2 WR's, there should be plenty of options available on the waiver wire and you've otherwise got a strong enough team that you should be able to carry a weak WR corps.

 

Was actually considering offering up Dalvin Cook for a stud WR instead. Watson might fly for two teams, one doesn't have a good enough set of WRs and the other has Odell. While I'm a fan he just landed his mega deal and these guys always tend to drop off after one of those.

I have a winnable match week one (not guaranteed, but doable) so I'll see what Watson and Dalvin do and offer them directly to whomever has a WR I think makes sense. Couldn't hurt to put this on a trading block too.

Week 1 and PPR I think I’d roll with Cooper. I’m high on Conner but Cooper should get a ton of targets.

I have 9 Fantasy Football teams, I went 3-6... lost a few games by an average of just 3 points, only got blown out in 1 game.

Ive noticed there is a lot of good competition and parity out there... going to be some great battles right down to the very end.

In my L4SN pay leagues I went 2-2... I think that's a good start in comparison to my last couple seasons.

 

Only rolling one league this year. Office friends with a $1K payout. I won by nearly 20 pts (131-112). I was down 55 after Thursday nite.

Conner, AB, and Melvin Gordon led the way for my team. Could’ve laid down 20 more but kept Rivers (29 pts) on the bench.

 

I picked up Rivers in 1 league... he's a fantast sleeper it seems. No one talks about him, but he puts up great numbers.

 

After week 1 I was 3-6 in football leagues. I flipped that in week 2 and went 6-3.

L4SN related news; the 'Hellcats' are 2-0.

 

I won in Week 1: 131-118
I lost this week by a similar score. I needed to play Roethlisberger and Amari Cooper to have won. I went with Rivers and Larry Fitzgerald instead. Paid the price.
1-1: Tied for 1st in my Division.
