I watched all of this ppv minus the Iron Man match (simply fell asleep, so I'll watch it at some point today). All my opinions are below, and I'll preface this by saying it's all a big SPOILER!!! Raw Tag Team Titles - First off, Matt Hardy's "broken" angle should relate more to his body than his mind. The way he moves around in the ring looks bad. The undertaker is over 50 and moves a little better. That said, Bray Wyatt has looked good in the ring. This team though, needed to lose. I haven't watched much of the "B Team" but it was nice to see Axel and Dallas actually win something. Balor vs Corbin - This ended as expected. Baron Corbin, at this point, is just there to elevate other talent whenever he wrestles. In this case, Finn Balor in what I consider a useless feud, because they likely have nothing else lined up for Balor at the moment Smackdown Women's Title - This match annoyed me. Asuka was fairly dominant the whole time, even with Ellsworth throwing weapons down to Carmella. Then Ellsworth unlocked the cage and tried to escape, but ended up getting his feet tangled and literally hanging there for awhile. Asuka gets turned into a random idiot and instead of finishing off Carmella, spends the next few minutes attacking Ellsworth until Carmella attacks her from behind (pushing her into the cage) and getting the win. She was undefeated on Raw and in NXT. She's been taking losses left and right and just does stupid stuff on Smackdown. Smackdown US Title - I honestly loved this. It's been so long since a match ended in seconds. Yeah, Nakamura hit a low blow before the match started, but I love that he immediately went to his finisher afterwards. Sometimes it just needs to be that simple and it was good booking for a heel like Nakamura. Randy Orton coming out and hitting Hardy with a low blow was strange though. Strowman vs Owens - The surprise in this match was that Owens won. Of course he only one because Strowman chokeslammed him (ehh, he choke tossed him) from the top of the cage to the announce table. I do love that they made Owens look somewhat strong during the match. He laid out Strowman a few times, including hitting him with a stone cold stunner. If he taunted a little bit less, he might have won the match without taking the classic mankind spot through the table. Smackdown Tag Titles - The Bludgeon Brothers took out Kane backstage before the match started, so Bryan had a 1 vs 2 to start the match. The issue I had with this is that I just knew they'd have him put up a good fight, even with the handicap....and they did. Problem is he fought Harper 1 on 1 a few weeks ago and was dominated for most of the match. Anyway, Kane eventually comes out, as expected, but Team Hell No still falls short in the end. Reigns vs Lashley - This match was pretty boring to me and a lot of the fans (they event chanted it). It was surprising to see Reigns lose clean though, especially to a spear. Lashley needs a new finisher (not the spear) because that vertical suplex, where he just holds you there, is weak as a finisher. Raw Women's Title - The short story of this match is that Alexa Bliss and Mickie James beat down Nia Jaxx, Natalya, and Rhonda Rousey. This was crazy booking imo. Styles vs Rusev - This was a pretty good match imo. Both were booked well and Rusev actually looked like the brute he's made out to be. In fact, it can be said that Aiden English cost Rusev the match by giving him "help" he never asked for, that ended up working against Rusev. Kurt Angle also threatened to strip Lesnar of his title if he doesn't show up on raw, or announce plans to defend the title asap. I think Lesnar has an upcoming UFC match so he's likely to drop the title soon anyway. I may comment on the IC Iron Man match later
Lesner went to the UFC fight and got in the ring and pushed some little fighter around. one of the fighters handlers pushed Lesner and he barely moved. the guy was like 5'6. ugh. https://www.cbssports.com/wwe/news/...des-new-champions-surprises-and-a-big-return/ overall the show was good. ended at 10:30 est. kind of early. need better bookings though and im sick of Nakamura already. he sucks.
