What are your Favorites to win it and who are you rotting for

 

i'll do some research of who is left in it. im an Man U guy from way back but they are not strong this year. I do enjoy the Cup though as it's the best in the world competing.

Grew up the son of an Irishman. Playing soccer since I could move in a given general direction on my own two feet. Sad that Ireland's national efforts always fall short. Real bummer.

I completely forgot a third team in a group could get in. I am so glad Ireland's tournament isn't over. First knockout game getting ready to start with France, in just a few minutes. This one has a personal bite to it - a few years ago, France qualified for the FIFA tournament over Ireland in a match between the two due to a goal for the French that was clearly a handball. The conspiracy theories abounded - 'Could you imagine a tournament without France? No wonder they didn't call it'... That kind of thing. Ireland had earned their FIFA shot and been robbed by a team that would go on to be embarrassed in the group stage. Now they're in a knockout game in the heart of France - hopefully for revenge. Here we go.

yeah Germany outplayed them till the first goal. then all down hill from there.

 

Such a stupid way to punish a player for the ball accidently hittng his arm inside the box, penalty kick.
