Tons of talent available. Decent amount of picks. Looks like a pretty cool league although QB is a little devalued. Rules 2 Legit 2 Not Be Lit rules and regulations 12 Teams, 3 Divisions 45 Man Rosters, 10 Man Taxi Squads, 5 Man IR 20 starters (1-2 QB, 2-5 RB, 2-5 WR, 2-5 TE, 1-2 DT, 2-3 DE, 3-5 LB, 2-3 CB/S) Annual 6 round rookie draft to begin the day after completion of the NFL Draft.(This year it begins Sunday, April 28th) 1. Teams, Divisions, and Ownership of Teams a) The League will consist of 12 teams divided into 3 divisions with 4 teams in each division. Initial divisions will be randomly set once all teams have been granted ownership. b) The commissioners at their discretion will grant ownership to the 12 most qualified GM's expressing interest in owning a franchise. It would be nice to see all of our owners return year to year; however we know that things happen so if an owner should choose not to return, the commissioner will find a replacement GM using whatever means necessary to keep the league stable. When ownership of a franchise changes, the new GM will be given the right to rename the team, within the league guidelines. However, the new owner will keep the same players held by the previous owner. The new GM will also keep the drafting position held by the previous owner. c) Each owner can name their team as they see fit, and select their own graphics for their banner and logo. 2. Rosters, Starting Lineups a) 45 players will make up a complete roster. You can have less but you can not have more. There are no restrictions regarding the number of players by position. The only minimum requirement of a roster is the ability to fulfill the starting lineup requirements. b) IDP (Individual Defensive Player). Rosters will consist of offensive players as well as defensive players, not team defenses. c) 20 players, with 10 players being IDP, make up a valid starting Lineup, consisting of the following positions: 1-2 QB 2-5 RB 2-5 WR 2-5 TE 1-2 DT 2-3 DE 3-5 LB 2-3 CB/S 3. Commissioners decision in all circumstances will be considered final. f) Prize money payouts are as follows($100 x 12 owners = $1200) (estimated MFL site fee = $60) Total Pot = $1140 1st place wins $600, 2nd place $290, 3rd place wins $50, The 3 division winners win $50 each, Highest scoring team during the regular season wins $50. Toilet bowl winner gets rookie pick 1.13 $60 rolls over each year towards the Dynasty Pot (Dynasty Pot is going on year 2, pot at $120) The Dynasty Pot is for any team that wins 2 titles in 3 years. If a team is rewarded the Dynasty Pot the pot will start over the next season and all will start again with all teams at 0 Titles. Winner of the league gets the naming rights to the last place team for the upcoming season starting preRookie Draft! 4. Inital Startup Draft a) The initial startup draft will consist of 55 rounds. If a player trades his picks away and has less than 55 picks he can draft players at the end of the draft to fill out his 55 man team. If a team trades and gets more than 55 picks he will forfeit any picks over 55. b) Teams will be able to draft players and draft picks. When drafting a draft pick the team will take for example pick 1.01 instead of a player and then after the startup draft we will have a rookie draft that will be setup based on the draft picks that were drafted in the startup. 5. Regular Season a) The league regular season will run from weeks 1-13, teams playing each other team in their division twice while filling in the rest of the schedule with randomly selected teams. b) If the NFL regular season is ever extended, additional regular weeks shall be added such that the last playoff game shall end 1 week before the end of the regular NFL season. 6. Playoffs a) The league playoffs will take place during weeks 14-16. b) 6 teams qualify for the playoffs. The 3 division winners and 3 wildcard teams make the playoffs. The 3 wildcard teams are the two teams with the best records taken from the remaining teams and the team with the most points taken from the remaining teams. If the team with the most points is also one of the 2 best records then the team with the 3rd best record is the last wildcard spot. c) The 6 teams that make the playoffs will be then reseeded 1-6 based on their record and subsequently tie breakers if necessary. d) First round of the playoffs (week 14) Teams 1-2 get a first round bye and team 3 plays team 6 and team 4 plays team 5. e) Second round of playoffs (week 15) team 1 plays the lowest seeded winner and team 2 plays the highest seeded winner. f) The winners play each other in the League Championship game (week 16) and the losers play each other for the 3rd place prize. g) The bottom 6 teams will compete in the Toilet bowl with the winner receiving an extra draft pick (pick 1.13) in the upcoming rookie draft. 7. Injured Reserve a) Each team will have 5 injury reserve positions on their rosters. b) Players declared to be on injured reserve by the official NFL injury report and myfantasyleague.com injury designations can fill these positions. c) Players declared to be on the official PUP list by the official NFL injury report and myfantasyleague.com injury designations can fill these positions. d) Players declared to be out with a O or I by the official NFL injury report and myfantasyleague.com injury designations can fill these positions. e) Trading of players placed on the injured reserve list is allowed. f) Owners can place players on injured reserve at any time during the current season. To move a player to injured reserve, the owner must use the leagues website to process the transaction. g) Once a player is on the injured reserve list, the team may acquire a free agent to fill the empty spot on the main roster (in accordance with acquisition rules). All players will be removed from IR on January 1st by either being placed on the active roster or waived by the team owner. In actual practice, the league site will be rolled over ASAP, most likely mid-February to the new year’s version. At that point, all IR players will be placed on active rosters, and teams could be over the roster limit. They will then have until April 1 to cut their roster down to the league limit. 8. Rookie Draft a) The Rookie draft will consist of 6 rounds. Rookie draft picks will be granted to all teams for the current and following seasons. b) The draft position of each team will be reverse of the previous season standings and maintain the same order each subsequent round. c) The team with the lowest winning percentage at the end of the regular season drafts first. The rest of the non-playoff teams are placed in order from lowest winning percentage to the highest. Tiebreaker rules apply for the rookie draft order. If a playoff and a non-playoff team end the season with the same winning percentage, the non-playoff teams selects before the playoff team. d) The League Champ will draft 12 and the runner-up will draft 11. e) Draft picks can be traded, however, if you trade future 1st or 2nd round picks you must pay that years league fees at the time of the trade. 9. Taxi Squad (TS) a) Starting with the 2018 season owners may designate up to 10 rookie players from their team to their Taxi Squad (TS) for development purposes. These players will be in addition to the 45 main roster players. b) Players may only remain on the TS for no more than 2 seasons. After that they must be promoted or dropped.
10. Tiebreakers Tiebreakers for division standings and playoff seeds are as follows: Head to head record. *Division record. Most points scored in the regular season. If still tied, coin flip will be applied * Division record can only be used among teams within the same division. 11. Waivers· a) Approximately one week after the conclusion of our Rookie draft, the commissioner will open off season blind bidding waivers until/including the Wednesday prior to the kickoff of the 1st game of the year. b) Teams will have $500.00 for the entire season to spend. When the league flips over to the new season, we will reset the cash for each team back to $500.00 for the season. You will be able to roll over any unused waiver bucks up to $250. That way the maximum amount of waiver bucks you can have at the start of the season is $750 c) Waivers will process every Wednesday evening during the season starting with Wednesday following the week 1 games d) After the Wednesday waivers are processed, the waiver wire will be first come first serve until the kickoff of the individual player’s game kickoff of that week. Following the first kickoff of the individual players game kickoff, waivers will lock for that player until the following week. So if you spend all your money you will only be able to pick up players during FCFS periods. 12. Trade Deadline a) There is no trade deadline. 13. Participation Requirements All owners are expected to be active year round. Owners should check in to the site at least once every two (2) weeks during the off-season. Owners should check in at least once every three (3) days during the regular season. Owners should check in at least once a day during the rookie draft. Owners are expected to vote in each poll on the league website. Owners are expected to participate in league discussion through the GroupMe att and chat group. Owners are expected to respond to all trade offers in a timely manner. Any trade offers that go without response for one week’s time should be reported to the commissioner. All owners should select the option to receive an email notification of a trade offer. Owners who are consistently in violation of any league rules may be removed from the league at the discretion of the commissioner.
I’ve tried to give it some serious thought. There’s a few things that stand out as interesting, or not overly clear. There is a lot of detail there, but the actual scoring parameters aren’t there. I like the idea of the toilet bowl getting one non-playoff team an extra desirable draft pick. As for draft picks, do I understand correctly that in future years it will be exactly what you’d usually have? But this “dispersal” draft we can draft the rookie picks themselves, just those showing as 2020? 2020 & 2021?
Yes, so if you're on the clock in the dispersal draft you can choose a player or a 2020 / 2021 draft pick. I've never been involved in a dispersal draft. It's pretty intriguing. Here is the scoring: RULES FOR QB, RB, WR, TE Number of Passing TDs 0-10 5.00 points each Passing Yards 1-999 .04 point for every 1 Pass Interceptions Thrown 0-99 -2.00 points each Number of Interceptions Thrown Returned for a TD 0-99 -3.00 points each Passing 2 Pointers 0-99 1.00 point each Number of Rushing TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Rushing Yards 1-999 .10 point for every 1 Rushing 2 Pointers 0-99 2.00 points each Number of Receiving TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Receiving Yards -50-999 1 point for every 10 Receiving 2 Pointers 0-99 2.00 points each Number of Punt Return TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Number of Kickoff Return TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Fumbles Lost (to Opponent) 0-99 -2.00 points each Number of Offensive Fumble Recovery TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Number of Blocked Field Goal TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Number of Missed Field Goal Return TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Number of Blocked Punt TDs 0-99 6.00 points each RULES FOR RB, WR, QB Receptions 0-99 1.00 point each RULES FOR TE Receptions 0-99 1.5 points each RULES FOR DT, DE, LB, CB, S Number of Passing TDs 0-10 5.00 points each Passing Yards -50-999 .04 point for every 1 Pass Interceptions Thrown 0-10 -2.00 points each Number of Interceptions Thrown Returned for a TD 0-10 -3.00 points each Passing 2 Pointers 0-99 2.00 points each Number of Rushing TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Rushing Yards -50-999 .1 point for every 1 Rushing 2 Pointers 0-99 2.00 points each Number of Receiving TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Receiving Yards -50-999 .1 point for every 1 Receptions 0-99 1.00 point each Receiving 2 Pointers 0-10 1.00 point each Number of Punt Return TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Number of Kickoff Return TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Fumbles Lost (to Opponent) 0-99 -2.00 points each Number of Defensive Fumble Recovery TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Fumble Recoveries (from Opponent) 0-99 2.00 points each Opponent Fumble Recovery Yards -50-999 .10 point for every 1 Number of Offensive Fumble Recovery TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Forced Fumbles 0-99 6.00 points each Number of Interception Return TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Interceptions Caught 0-99 6.00 points each Interception Return Yards -50-999 .1 point for every 1 Passes Defensed 0-99 2.00 points each Number of Blocked Field Goal TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Blocked Field Goals 0-99 2.00 points each Number of Blocked Punt TDs 0-99 6.00 points each Blocked Punts 0-99 2.00 points each Blocked Extra Points 0-99 2.00 points each Tackles 0-99 1.75 points each Assists 0-99 1.00 point each Sacked a QB 0-25 2.5 points each Sacked a QB Yardage 0-100 .2 point for every 1 Quarterback Hits 0-99 1.00 point each Tackles for a Loss 0-99 2.00 points each Safeties 0-99 6.00 points each Defensive Conversion Returns 0-99 6.00 points each Safeties for 1 Point 0-99 1.00 point each RULES FOR DT Tackles 0-99 .75 points each Assists 0-99 0.5 points each Sacked a QB 0-25 1.00 point each Quarterback Hits 0-10 1 point each
Do they have an idea of when the dispersal draft will happen and how they are going to operate it? I know I already said no... But I’m already reconsidering, lol.
Trying to have it Feb. 10 or earlier. All communications are on WhatsApp. Finances are handled through LeagueSafe.
Finally went on to see what's up with the 2020 draft. Shane has an ungodly amount of draft picks which explains how he went 0-14 I guess: Round 1 The Hallam Hammers The Hallam Hammers The Hallam Hammers Sass Squad The Hallam Hammers The Hallam Hammers Kyle's Team The Hallam Hammers James' Team Frey's Team The Hallam Hammers Open Team #3 Round 2 The Hallam Hammers The Hallam Hammers Sass Squad Sass Squad Sass Squad Kyle's Team Kyle's Team The Hallam Hammers The Hallam Hammers Sass Squad The Hallam Hammers Sass Squad Round 3 James' Team The Hallam Hammers The Hallam Hammers Open Team #2 The Hallam Hammers Deshaun Of The Dead The Hallam Hammers Open Team #2 James' Team Deshaun Of The Dead Open Team #2 The Hallam Hammers
Can I assume in the defensive scoring section before this point you didn’t mean to include DTs? Things like tackles and sacks would have two different scoring systems then
I'm pretty sure those are bonus points for DTs. So a DE or LB gets 2.5pts per sack. But a DT gets 3.5pts. Similar to how they list RBs, WRs, TEs. They all get the same for yards and TDs but WRs and RBs get 1 point per reception. TEs get 1.5 points per reception.
Examples of 2019 results: DT 1. Aaron Donald 270.55 pts 2. Grady Jarrett 245.55 pts 3. DeForest Buckner 239.85 pts 4. Chris Jones 196.70 pts 5. Sheldon Richardson 195.90 pts DE 1. Danielle Hunter 240.25 pts 2. Cam Heyward 221.95 pts 3. Joey Bosa 218.60 pts 4. Cam Jordan 203.05 pts 5. Carlos Dunlap 201.15 pts LB 1. Jordan Hicks 305.10 pts 2. Shaq Barrett 289.50 pts 3. Joe Schobert 287.05 pts 4. TJ Watt 287.00 pts 5. Darius Leonard 283.15 pts The rules add value to DTs that probably wouldn't exist otherwise.
You guys could join the group chat and ask questions if you like. You don't have to 100% commit. You just need to install WhatsApp on your phone. The group seems pretty cool.
If you come across another league that you are thinking about getting in, maybe a start up dynasty or something a little less involved roster wise, hit me up and I'll check it out. I need to get in an off-site league against some other folks from Twitter to expand some.
Expand some? You should have hopped in this league. Promises to be interesting. Little pricey, but I’ve never played a scoring structure like it.
I got out of a few leagues last season that had issues and I had to rebuild a league that had issues, but now I'm in only one league that I don't commission and it's the very first league I ever got involved in. So, basically, I need to get into a couple low rent leagues that are hosted/commissioned by another site to get some more exposure for this joint. I really thought about getting into this one but the timing just didn't work out for me. My whiteboard has 37 items remaining off of a 44 item list that I started to cross of at the beginning of January, and the target to have all of it done is May 1. Should be an interesting couple of months, lol,
Just seeing this but I jumped in another with some of the same guys this past weekend. Similar rules but with a requirement to pick a defensive scheme prior to week one. Pretty interesting little quirk that should be fun. I wouldn't have wanted you in though. It was a three team dispersal with limited resources and the other two teams let me scarf up all the picks and a lot of the talent. Wouldn't have wanted you in to screw that up for me lol.
