Playoff push has started!! Bob is back and the team looks to be rolling.
Horton should be getting comfortable and what not as well. The youth on this team seems to be getting it done. Hopefully they continue to progress and mature.
Not missing Rick Nash one bit.
Time to change the culture surrounding the Blue Jackets and turn them into winners. The new front office is doing all the right things. Our draft picks played very well in the world juniors, not quite sure how that translates to nhl but I don't really remember hearing much of Blue Jackets prospects before. The only good picks I remember were Nash and Voracek.

Good idea to start this thread.

Jackets playing some good hockey, and looking plenty dangerous, especialy if they get some offense. They looked dead in the water just a while back...now they are contenders for the playoffs if they keep this up. Nice little stretch their on.

    Good Luck.

  3. i've been calling the jackets the new beasts of the east all season :)

Curious what happens with Gaborik. Getting old now and seems to be a glass figure out there. Do we trade him or just let him walk? Or will they resign him? He's not worth 7.5 million, that I know.

Glad to see a CLB thread up. I'm looking forward to seeing how a number of young faces pan out there. I like the mad Finn and Zito too.

gabby has always been made of glass. he had good stretch of 2 or 3 seasons where he avoided the IR for the most part. he is another of those NYR Lucky For Life winners. $7.5M is way too much and he doesn't hold too much trade value either. let him walk.

Another win! Great come from behind win. Horton's goal was nice. Like what I'm seeing *ROCK*

Tampa Bay was 17-1 when leading after 2 periods. Thats a big win for the Jackets.

Glad we picked Murray and not Yakupov *HI*

  10. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

No kidding, but Yakupov might have put them over the top for a playoff spot last year. I'm starting to think that CLB will be a haven for some Euro cast offs. The Finn and Zito know their way around and they've learned what the organization did to screw things up in the past. I like Murray better too, but I'm not convinced that Yakupov would have been worse in CLB than Murray.

He would be with fellow russians, a more tolerant and accepting fanbase, and he wouldn't have live every day around the media like it was him against the world. Edmonton is a brutal place, they put up billboards saying "fire Lowe" and what not. That's probably a little too much to put on an 18 year old with a type A personality and cocky attitude.

Anyway, CLB has a very promising group of blueliners and in two years I'm not going to be shocked to see Zito and the mad Finn grab another very talented Dman one way or another. I like what I'm seeing out of Murray when I've seen him play, but he still has a long way to go and hundreds of games to work through to be a dependable 1st pair player.

That's not the additude for Columbus though. I don't really think he'd of fit in any better here. Yes maybe with the team more because of the Russians. Could have altered how he acted maybe but I'm still not sold on his ability. I just think Murray is the better player and I'm glad we got him over Yakupov.

Atkinson's speed just too much. Caused the penalty to set up the first goal then got two really nice goals. He just finds the net. Columbus continues rolling

1,000th regular season game tomorrow against Philly. Wish I could go. Place should be rocking. Hope Mason is in goal too.

Playoff chances looking pretty solid right about now. What the hell happened to the Caps!??

Happy for Horton that he's healthy and doing well.

im jealous of those beers. in Boston its only regular sized BLs and they're around $9.

  19. brett11253 Brett Blue Jackets Browns Indians

Yea those beers are like $9 too. Still too much for something that taste like water. I'll be there Saturday for my first game this year and be sure I'll be drinking before hand. No need to spend $60 bucks on beer for a game.
