Doesn't sound like Justin Jefferson is going to play/come of IR in time. It's prime time game and Kirk Cousins isn't playing. Josh Dobbs is averaging 6 yards per pass attempt. Another tidbit i picked up from his espen splits page, He puts up big numbers in the 2nd quarter, particularly drives just before halftime. That's where half of his TDs on the year come from, his completion % is healthy and in the mid-60s, and that's the quarter he's lucky enough to avoid taking many sacks, and averages over 10 yards per pass completion. Quarters 1 and 3 he doesn't pass much at all. Quarter 4 is when he starts to unravel, its where over half of his INTs are thrown, his completion % is under 50, and he averages 4.4 yards per pass completion. Long story short, theoretically (I cannot stress 'theoretically' enough) if the bears hang around with a 1 score game till the end, their odds aren't half bad. I'm fully aware who the coaches are and what they don't do correctly, and while Kevin O'Connell has called some ugly games he's also called some great ones, and he knows how to shred a softer than room temperature butter 'cover who.' I'm also aware that no matter how bad the bears are, they can always get at least 1 team better than them to play like idiots/lose to them when it seemingly defies the laws of physics. Minnesota has been that team often over the years when the bears have been bad. I expect Flores to blitz the shit out of Fields/the offense like he did last game. I expect Getsy to not have a fucking clue, and like last time--won't have an answer to constant pressure or wont respect Flores enough to adjust, or just wont adjust period. If Fields doesn't get hurt, I don't hate the bears' chances. Its also der Flus and Getsy, so I can also see a 25+ point blowout to a back up Arizona traded away for their tank.
We haven't beaten them since 2020. And Flus has never won a division game. I do think it will be close to the end and we find some stupid way to blow it, almost certainly coming down to retarded game management by Flus. Fire Flus
This is Fields using his legs for real good. Buying more time, scanning the field and finding the open guy, even if he's just 3 yards down field.
