Chicago Bears vs Houston Texans Game Thread

It's a bloody miracle but I get to watch the game tonight!

Mea culpa, but I'm cheering for the Bears with the hopes of seeing some big changes since Game 1.

Ryan Bates going to IR with an arm/elbow injury means we’re going to be seeing a lot of 65 and Nate Davis starting on the OL tonight, doesn’t it? Fuck…

Blasengame is also out with an injury, so how many backs is Waldron going to activate tonight? Is he going to use Homer more than Herbert tonight? Is he going to use Herbert at all?

Dont know if Allen or Odunze are playing but either way, please use/target Cole Kmet tonight. He gets paid too much to be a blocking only TE.

I better not see Velus returning anything.

A loss by 3+ scores on prime time is fitting, as they’re choosing to wear fugly orange unis to complete the ensemble of stupid.

 

There just isn't anything flattering about orange. I don't own a single piece of clothing that has orange on it. What's wrong with those guys?

 

Kmet should be the guy you’re moving around to create some matchups.

No TE screens tonight please and limit the fucking toss runs. That’s not a great play at the NFL level. It was once upon a time when linebackers were slower.

Hopefully either Allen or Odunze play. Both is better but I’ll take one.

Caleb has to play better but so do the guys directly in front of him.

This is the type of game that will tell us if Waldron can make week to week adjustments or if he is a this square peg will eventually fit into this round hole kinda guy.

On defense….Stroud was sacked 4 times last week. Gotta get home. Stroud hasn’t thrown a pick in a while. Time to change that. Shut down Mixon and make the Texans offense one dimensional. That’s the ticket to victory.

If Malik Willis looks good today I’m giving up on football

 

They’re cutting through Indy so far like a hot knife in butter up 10-0. Lafleur can make anybody look good. He’s one of the best in the league, and it sucks he’s in Green Bay.

Packers march 70-something yards and their $48 million RB fumbles on the goal line and loses it.

Indy looks like the bears. Frustrating on offense. Nothing going right, when something does, there’s a flag or a pass hits the guy in the hands or feet. Malik Willis looks competent and simple runs are gashing the interior. This is nauseating.

Colts beyond pathetic.

You come into the game knowing they're not gonna throw, they've got nothing but the run...... and you give up 250yards rushing thru 3 Qs. Fucking useless.

 

I’ve seen this colts packers game sequence before. Just a kick in the dick like when the bears play them. How they get the hopes up with timely stops on defense only to shit their pants on offense is just too familiar.

 

I’ve had 3 players fumble the ball in the redzone today when they are seemingly about to score a touchdown. And Justin Jefferson got hurt.

Fuck fantasy football.

Anthony Richardson looked like utter crap today and could've had even more picks than he finished with. We'll prob make him look like an all-pro next week.

 

Missed all the games this afternoon but sucks to hear Malik Willis played so well. Patg is 100% right, Lafluer really deserves credit for what he's doing up there with the QBs.

Looks like Keenan is out while Rome is active. Velus a healthy scratch. Still needs to get cut.

Our o-line will determine how competitive of a game this will be. If they can establish themselves early, maybe Waldron dials up the old school running game and takes the pressure off Caleb. If not, it's going to be a looong night.
