Happy Memorial Day weekend to my American compadres and just happy weekend to the Canadian brethren. Anyway this will be on the NBA board on a holiday weekend so not sure how much traffic it'll get. But....Huge game here with plenty of story lines to it. Can the King and his cast of characters hold off the upstart Celtics @ the Gahden? Love em or hate em the Celtics look like they are building something special, While James is the best and has been the best in the game for a decade now. It could be a passing of the torch game as we all think James won't return to The Land. Anyway hoping for a classic. And a Celtic win naturally. 20 Mins to Tip off. Let's go Celts!

1. Fuck LeBron and it has nothing to do with Lobronto. I can't respect that guy. Ya he is great but if he didn't have talent he'd be nothing but a scumbag. He has a talent and uses it to control business. He is a child in a man's body.

I barely remember when the Raps weren't around and I like the Spurs. So the Spurs are my secondary team. Duncan and Pop were/are great and I liked their game unlike many.

Besides that for the most part I just don't have a team I cheer for/against. I might pick a team in the final but even then it's usually just the Spurs or Not LeBron. But the NBA isn't the same anymore. I mark after 2005 the end of an era. Pretty much shortly after Shaq left the Lakers and Dwight Howard started becoming the face of the Center position in the league. The game changed too much. Although there were some nice throwback style finals like the Lakers vs Celtics. Basically if you have my respect I'll watch and cheer. I haven't seen that as much the last decade plus and it isn't just because of LeBron.

P.S. I won that Bird jersey at a bachelor party raffle but I wouldn't have put my ticket in the basket if I didn't want it.

 

I can respect that point of view. Many of the years the Spurs were winning the Celts were bad. I'm a huge Duncan/Pop guy. Played and coached the game the right way imo.

 

Actually even beyond Duncan and Pop. I just liked the way that organization has been run over that span.
