It's good to see another team on MnC, even if it is a team I do not like. - Carolina knocked off Buffalo in the EC Championship the season that was the Sabres best chance at winning a Cup. As one writer quipped, the Sabres were "down to their 17th string defenseman" for the game seven. Buffalo would have beaten the Oilers. - It may be that Cane fans hate a lot of teams, but they seem to have a real hard on for Buffalo. (Of course, that may be because a lot of Sabres fans can be assholes.) In any case, I would like to see the day when all teams have a page.
the only thing (or 2) that i like about Carolina: 1) they play the br00nz tough, whether the Canes suck or not 2) Bill Cowher hangs out in their arena from time to time
On a lighter note, Fuck the 2001-02 Canes, they took out the leafs in the EC Finals. F Kappinen, Brind'Amour, Francis, and of course that bastard that lives up the street from me Jeff O'neill.
They also want to trade Cam Ward, their top goalie, don't they? And no Staal for a good while. I'd be surprised to see them get off to a good start for as bad as they were last year. And now possibly losing 2 key players........I'll also be surprised to see the Penguins get off to a good start with Rutherford as GM and a new coach nobody ever heard of except the players that played for him....
Semin might have the worst deal in the league. If I were a Hurricanes fan I wouldn't be mad that Rutherford left.
Semin's highly skilled but a very weak checker, the post cup era seems to always ice a team that's easy to play against.
