Fair points, I'm 1 of those crazies that can't be doing stuff during a game if I don't know what's going on. Game 1 to 162 I'm all over it.
Cards looked like crap last night. Wainwright wasn't on and they uncharacteristically committed a few errors. I think Wacha comes back tonite and gets the win. Then the Cards take 2 of 3 in St Louis. Then I have no clue what will happen.....
Definitely. Sox patience at the plate gets Wacha's pitch count up early and out of the game. Bad thing was Martinez comes in and shuts the door for 2 innings.
The only thing I see preventing the cards from doing it is if their pen falters. The starters aren't going deep in games and Matheny has had to go to them in the 5th and 6th innings.
jeep, I think that's a valid concern for the start by Lynn tonight. I still see lots of reason for optimism. Cards are 19-3 at home since Sept 6. Waino game 5 at home, Wacha game 6, if they can beat that they can have it but I'll bet on my guys. I agree with your assessment of Cards in 5 or 6.
Lynn has been an enigma almost all season. A good start followed by a few bad ones (and I mean bad) followed by a few good ones. Its game to game with him and who knows which one shows up tonite.
You're exactly right about Lynn, he could come out and be great or come out and get rocked. I feel like Bucholtz is the same way tonight.
He is. I look for a possible shootout tonite, but then again they may both pitch gems and it'll be a one run game. Baseball, ya never know.
Wow! Second night in a row the game ends in an unconventional way. Obstruction last night to give the Cards the win and a pick off at first to give the Sox the game tonite. Wow!
