It shouldn't have taken this long, but thankfully it got done. Now they need to identify who is going to be their OC next year, and focus on getting them a QB that fits their vision.
Sounds like it came from ARII. actually very surprised it happened, expected to to last until the offseason
I really wonder if the play calls on the final drive vs the Browns were the last straw. They basically threw some low percentage passes and gave the ball right back. No creative run plays or anything to move the clock. I'm glad he's gone. Now let's purge the roster of the has been and never wasses that is the QB room.
and the QB coach, going to share duties! I guess Mike Sullivan has been OC of the Giants and Buccaneers previously.
Mike Sullivan | Pro Football History.com Not the greatest of records while being the OC, but I don’t see this as a permanent change either, off-season they will choose a new Coordinator.
Christmas came Early. Now for my New Year's gift. HIRE ERIC BIENENEMY. With the Commanders losing to the Giants and DeVito, Rivera's could be on the hot seat. Although he might get a HC offer, hope this plays out. Steelers have 7 more games to see if Pickett is an NFL QB. Anyone watch Buffalo after they fired their OC, Night and Day,. So let's hope for something better than 16 fucking points a fucking game.
We will know more over the next 7 games. I reserve the right to another evaluation without Canada, but you're more than likely correct.
Steelers make first in-season coaching change since Bert Bell in 1941 Via Paul Hembekides of ESPN, the last time the Steelers fired a coordinator or head coach happened in 1941. The coach at the time was Bert Bell. He previously owned the Eagles. After Art Rooney sold the Steelers to Alexis Thompson, Rooney bought half of Bell’s interest the Eagles. They two franchises then decided to swap territories, with the Pirates becoming the Eagles and the Eagles becoming the Steelers. Rooney became the G.M. and Bell became the coach. Bell resigned after two games in 1941.
I understand we will never agree on Tomlin but in anonymous player poll recently on what coach they would like to play for besides their own... He frustrates me as well at times. But he would have a job in about 5 minutes if we let him go.
