This is some special contextualizing of Washington's "other" than deep pass catching. It has all 52 of Washington's 16 and under pass receiving catches on file for you to see his "under coverage" technique and separation abilities. This is a really fun read .... enjoy ! https://www.steelersdepot.com/2018/...akdown-of-james-washingtons-2017-target-data/ This cat appears, for all the world, NFL ready. I can't wait to see what he can do in pads against NFL coverage.
I think he is going to be this year's JuJu, meaning a rookie who does really well. I am very excited to see this first team offense in action.
I'm such a homer ... I feel like this every year and every year it feels like it means more this year than last ... I'm with you tech, right to the end ! We'll get our first taste when James goes up against our "A" team defense. IMO his best overall trait is his ability to catch "defensively" ... " aaah 'scuse me, that's my ball and I'm taking it home" strong hands, great ups and the ability to contest catches. Please bring it to the NFL.
I love the term "combat catches" and that he excels at them. That Boldin type come down with the ball prowess always has game changing potential. I am a total homer too and fans of other teams ask me how my Steelers will be every year and I always say they have a chance to be really good. That's when they tell me that all Steeler fans say that. It is good to be a Steeler fan. With Washington, I actually think he has the chance to be a can do it all type talent. Very, very exciting. A lot of anticipation for football in pads over here right now.
Yes you do my brother, yes you do. A better bet you'll never find ! Wouldn't it be cool if Washington was a rookie reason for getting us the seventh ?
