Without a doubt the ugliest game in a long time. I understand there were a lot of injuries but that was ugly. There was no good, a lot of bad and even more ugly. I don’t care that Najee and Claypool had 100 yards, Najee dropped at least 3 passes, Claypool dropped 1-2. Ebron missed 2, the OL is trash. And WTH was that 4th down pass? You have combat catchers in James Washington and Claypool, throw it up in the end zone. Penalties were horrible. 1st and goal from the 4 turned into 2 and goal from the 21. 3 straight drops to end the game. Steelers are going to spend quite a bit of time in the basement if things don’t change in a hurry. Hope TJ, DJ, Highsmith, Banner and Tuitt are ready to go next week.
well, when you completely ignore the fullback in that situation ur only asking for trouble. Throwing a WR screen from a shotgun on 1st down is just not a good option IMO. Bring in extra big uglies with a fullback and run the damn ball, at least try. On a side note Ebron needs to be on the inactive list, we know he can’t block and if he can’t catch why even bother having him on the field on game day
Derrick Watt saw a lot of snaps, at least compared to what he normally gets. Agree they should have at least tried to run it, but clock may have been a factor. Not sure they have tried to run much in goal to go situations this season. Earlier in the game they didn’t try, and while they did score I would like to see attempt to pound it in. Still get too cute and it backfires more often than not. Agree with Ebron. I’d be onboard with cutting him and bringing up Radar. At least he can block and offers something on ST.
