This shit is in primetime. What the fuck. Any of you gents going to be around to commiserate, or is this one I should just skip?
I mean...I'll probably stomach part of the 1st quarter. Turn it off when they're "respectfully" down 3 scores. They're going to get curbstomped, and I kind of want GB to hang 50 on this team just to see cuts to Virginia watching from box seats. Go on, old hag--keep your BS honor about not firing idiots until a certain date after getting pantsed, in prime time when the other QB shows again who really owns the team and the announcers spend 45-50 minutes making jokes at the roster/team/scheme/visor. Why the NFL isn't flexing Buffalo/Tampa Bay to Sunday night, I don't know.
I was shocked to see this game still on prime. Massive embarrassment. I'm going to try to watch it through.
I won't be on the thread as we have a family get together that night. It's gonna be really, really bad. The game...not our family party.
After drinking yourself under the table you’re really going to know if the family party was any good?
Normally I'd be pissed we didn't get flexed out but frankly this is exactly what the franchise needs. A good ass whooping of 2014 proportions for the whole world to see. Georgie and his mommy are going to sit and watch every last minute of it, and I hope they feel nothing but shame and despair forever after. The humiliation will be critical to the firing of Nagy (and possibility full house cleaning) after the season. I'll watch until the Packers have more points to us, then off with the tv. Hopefully a quick opening TD for the Packers seals it and I can spend the rest of the night doing something more productive.
It's been 35 years since Charles Martin hit McMahon and derailed our Super Bowl chances. We've never repaid the favor. Can someone stomp on Erin's toe and end his season please? He deserves it. So does that franchise. I nominate Cassius Marsh to do the hit.
Isn't it always the least expected guy? Didn't Shame put Erin out for a while? I nominate Eddie Jackson, not that he will make contact or anything, but Erin would likely pull a hamstring putting a move on Jackson and getting into the endzone. Sounds Bearlievable.
That's what I thought heh. My dad is in town so we'll probably watch the game together but goddamn if this isn't going to be yet another national embarrassment to the Bears "owner". The Packers are 12.5 point favorites and that sounds about right. The game is in Lambeau and based on tonight result the Packers might be playing to *clinch* the fucking division and are looking like a team that could compete for the goddamn big trophy. Whereas on our side of the ball there is dysfunction everywhere with a lame duck coach that we should have fired last year. Fuck this team.
My continued boycott of the Bears in primetime games is still in effect so i literally won't be losing any sleep over this game. I was coming at this from the same place as blang, an in your face embarrassment for the McFuckskey's is what needs to happen and is most certainly what they deserve. But Fields getting the start complicates matters greatly. Couldn't just sit him for another week could you Nagy you fuck.
I don't understand the reasoning behind playing Fields. The loss to the Packers is a foregone conclusion even for a football idiot like me. Why chance on getting Fields hurt and out again?
Because the last shred of hope Nagy has of keeping his job lies with beating the Packers on sunday. And he knows that aint happening with The Red Retread.
Does anyone think it's possible that this could be the "last straw game"? You know they are just itching to fire Nagy. It would have been done already, but in typical Bears fashion, they blew it. Attendance at the last home was brutal, and thinking like a McCaskey they need to salvage the last two remaining home games so they are not overstocked on urinal pucks. What better way to win back the pissed fans if the visor-wearing pinhead wasn't standing on the sidelines.
A smart franchise would already have several potential candidates in mind as a replacement, both from the pro and college level. And it would be best to jump into that process before ASAP the rest of the league on Black Monday. But this is the Bears. So even though they'll fire Nagy, they'll do it in the stupidest possible way and then begin the search for his replacement by looking in the glove compartment.
Because reps are gold. The kid needs reps. I truly 100% believe that ship has sailed. Nothing can retain his job at this point. Even the McCaskeys can't be that stupid.
