Below is a link to the live web-cam at the construction site for the new Vikings Stadium. I found this to be quite interesting and of very good resolution. It also has a feature that lets you click on the date and time to see what you may have missed and to follow up on the progression. http://www.vikings.com/stadium/new-stadium/webcam.html
thanks for the link i will check it out.....so glad the Vikings are moving on with out Ponder now maybe Mike Zimmer and Norv Turner can find a good QB
I'll believe the Vikings are moving on from Ponder when he is no longer on the team. The Browns canned Brandon Weeden and the Jags dumped Blaine Gabbert but the Vikes can't get rid of Ponder? Something's not right.
i agree it does make you think what's the problem here...Ponder has had his chance to get the job done and failed
NFL Draft: Vikings Select Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater. The dual-threat QB was a three-year starter for Miami (Fla.) powerhouse Northwestern High School. Named Big East Freshman of the Year in 2011 after completing 191-of-296 passes for 2,195 yards (64.5 percent) with 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 13 games (started final 10 games). Became the first true freshman to start at QB for Louisville since Stu Stram in 1976. Threw for 287-419-3,718-27-8 (68.5) while playing in all 13 games (12 starts) in '12 to earn conference's Offensive Player of the Year Award. Vikings Raise the Barr on Defense, Select UCLA Linebacker... The Vikings got right to work during the offseason on improving their defense, hiring Mike Zimmer as their new head coach and then taking an aggressive approach to free agency with the signing of Linval Joseph and Captain Munnerlyn. They?ve used the same strategy in the 2014 NFL Draft, using the ninth overall pick on explosive outside linebacker Anthony Barr. Before selecting Barr, though, the Vikings moved back one spot in a trade with the Cleveland Browns, who previously traded to No. 9 from No. 4 (Buffalo). At 6-5, 265 pounds, Barr possesses the explosive athletic traits necessary to be a game-changing pass rusher and effective in coverage, and he also has the frame to add strength to become a force against the run. Barr played and started in 27 games during his junior and senior seasons, providing outstanding production in those games with 148 tackles, 41.5 tackles for loss (TFLs), 23.5 sacks, nine forced fumbles and six pass breakups. For the effort, Barr earned First-Team All-Pac 12 honors in 2012 and 2013, and following the 2013 campaign he was named a finalist for the Lombardi, Bednarik and Butkus Awards and took home the Lott IMPACT Award.
it was an interesting draft by the Vikings..now get another LB and a Safety to help Harrison Smith and maybe O-line man so far so good the Teddy Bridgewater pick was very interesting,i was kinda shocked he was still there
After a busy first round on Thursday night, the Vikings got right back to work on Friday night as the second and third rounds of the 2014 NFL Draft unfolded. The Vikings did not have a second-round pick, but they had two picks in the third round. Here?s a quick summary of what happened?
So far... NFL Draft:1) Vikings Select Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater. 2) OLB Anthony Barr. 3) DE Scott Crichton ? 3rd Round (No. 72 Overall) 4) RB Jerick McKinnon ? 3rd Round (No. 96 Overall)
i checked out that link on the stadium it looked pretty good i have saw some where it looked very rough it was best one i saw, kinda nice to see the Vikings have a plan it just so weird that Rick Spielman has let Mike Zimmer call the shots which is a good thing imo...i will look at that link
Some nice late picks by the Vikes. I think Yankey should be a good one on the O-line. Vikings needed to address the defense and thats what they did. Overall, it was a decent draft. Sure hope Bridgewater becomes a star in this league...wouldnt that be nice. Im excited about the Vikes and their new direction, but still cautiously optimistic with the QB situation. I think they will definitely turn things around defensively, and that should keep them in ball games and striking distance. Dont have to be the best at QB, just smart, is all Im asking.
out of the picks which were good i really like the pick of David Yankey 6-6 315 pounds that's a big boy,i know that they can't fix this mess right now but you can see some light coming out of this dark tunnel, the Vikings draft was mostly about the Defense!!..i am so glad there not going play Bridgewater yeah just hoping he plays smart i've had it with bad QB's
the change for the Vikings is amazing wow what took so long rick let it become a messed up situation when it didn't have to be,and congrats on being the winner of the Mud-N-Cleats Mock Draft
why all of this hate towards Bridgewater he hasn't played a down and he doesn't have to be all-pro just a descent QB something the Vikings have lacked for years,i read this about AP.. could this be his last year with the Vikings is this true? hope its not, under the Spielman regin its has been an waste of time big time so sad and pitful
Mike Zimmer said, if Bridgewater is good enough, he's playing. Simple as that. As for Peterson, Adrian has stated that he wishes to remain a Viking. I think the reports of trading him are just speculative rumors being spread by a few beat writers who want a story. Sure Peterson, according to contract, will make a ton of money, I read he will be pushing 16 mil by next season. My opinion is this...if he's going to threaten the all-time NFL rushing record and carry this football team again, isnt he worth the cash? Why would the Vikes want to let someone else pay him the same amount and then Adrian turns around and tears up the League. You get what you pay for, and Adrian can single-handedly win ball games...I dont see anyone else on the Vikings doing that. I just hope he stays healthy and they keep him around. It shouldnt be a money issue anyway...after all, it was the Vikings who mutually were involved with the contract in the first place. Now, someone thinks great running backs are a dime a dozen, I guess. What do I know anyway? Hard telling what might happen.
yes i just read that over on the cbssports...wow Minnesota will host the SB and its time to shine!!!,i really hope that things for HC Mike Zimmer works out, like the linebackers pick ups working on the Defense which is a good thing
