Unreal. That was some of the most exciting football I've ever watched! I want you guys to stand up; at least for anyone who didn't die of alcohol poisoning last night from self-imposed drinking games, to stand up and raise your glass to toast each other (I don't care if it's apple juice @BearsWillWin , just quit crying about your head), and to toast the MONSTERS OF THE MIDWAY!! They're BACK!! We are a growing team! We CAN win against the best of them and not only win but SHUT THEM DOWN! What was your favourite play or moment in the game? I'm caught between two. Nagy letting loose on the referee but remembering to cover his mouth to hide all the F-bombs he was screaming. He DOES get mad and he DOES it very well. Second favourite was the Defense coming out to score a TD. Huge game and I hope this stays up going forward!
I love how humble but self aware that Trubs is. "I'm pretty disappointed with myself, in the way I played. Especially after being out for 2 weeks." "I'll get everything corrected. I'll go back to work this week. Work really hard to get it corrected."
My favorite moment of the game was the safety. That reminded me of great defenses from the Bears past. And hearing how loud the crowd was. My son said it was one of the loudest games he’s ever been to.
That's awesome that he could go to the game! I would have thought by now that your clan would have been banned ... ?
Normally I'm cursing a lot or even triumphantly celebrating a lot during games. Not last night. But two moments made me get up off my couch and shout: 1) safety by Goldman and 2) the sack on 4th down to seal the game.
Unlike how it normally is for me, there was never a point in the game where I was super pissed but at the same time I didn't feel good about the game at all until the safety and then the sealing sack. I didn't want to get too excited until I saw the D slam the door and then they slammed it!
There's nothing wrong with being cautious. I'm the reverse; thanks to my utter stupidity about football I think everything I see is fantastic. I have learned to keep my fingers still during those moments. Less embarrassment that way
That. I had somewhat bitched to my wife that for all the pressure the Bears were bringing to Goff, they had only 1-2 sacks. And just as I said it, the words are floating over my head like a cloud bubble in a cartoon strip, they bring him down on 4th down. I woke up our 14 and 10 year olds bellowing FUCK YEAH
I don't have cable in the bedroom, but with it streaming on NBC, I figured out how to get it in there for the first time. I couldn't tell if it was just my expensive TV, or the game itself, but I've never seen such a pretty sight. What a game.
