It hasn't been easy to find the bright spots in going to N.O. in a must need win against a hurt but still possibly best team in the NFL, ... but here goes ... 1. Ben's never won in N.O. That alone is a % thing that could iron itself out this week end. Odds are, sooner or later he wins one there ... maybe this is our sooner. 2. Cameron Jordon's ridiculous rant on Ben's status among elite QB's... Thanks for the free billboard stuff dumbass. Matt Feiler has him on Sunday... that will be a matchup I will watch all game long. He didn't just diss Ben and the Oline will respond ... Cam Hayward :"My quarterback is something special and I’ll take him over anybody. And I understand he’s got his top five and he’s probably seen more of those NFC guys, but you better be ready for that monster coming in your house.” 3. No one has ever beat Brady and Brees back to back* in the history of the NFL in regular season games. I love giving Ben a target. How many 500 yd+ games? how many 4th qtr comebacks? ... that list is fairly extensive and when you see all the qb's who tried and failed ... well, Ben could show at least some member of the Saints a more remarkable defense of elite in b/b wins... 2nd one in his house. If the Ravens win later, losing to the Raiders will be back on the table for our beloveds not making the playoffs if they can’t get out of NO with a win
You can go back to blowing the Denver & LAC games too but I’m talking about what they hasd in front of them with 4 games left and having the 1/2 game lead in the division. They had 2 tough games left and 2 they should win. Ravens were in the same position, 2 tough games and 2 they should win. Blowing the Raiders game meant they had to have either the NE or NO game. And if Ravens win later IMO they have to have the NO game or we’ll be watching the playoffs without or beloveds in it. And don’t even bring up Cleveland beating Balt, they won’t.
