The first one for sure. No need to come back on and try and dumb it down for us with option B.

The draft has really gotten better for Steelers fans since Omar Khan took over. He isn’t conservative like Colbert was. Last draft was the best for the Steelers in 20 years.

Seeming more and more like the Pats might be willing to move off of #3 which is so interesting to me. How the top 5 plays out tonight should be a lot of fun for people who simply love the draft. I however will be chewing through my nails until I see what happens with the Giants.

As an "internet GM" I played this a few different ways. But as a fan. Drake Maye no matter what.

This time of the year is the only time that you can appreciate your team having a crap kicking losing record . But of course as Steelers fans we haven’t had the opportunity to really feel the pain of losing. So we have to watch and hope someone good falls to us. They usually do and that’s why losing teams tend to keep losing and winning teams tend to keep winning.

Honestly the Giants can't even suck right. They won two games with Tommy Devito and that's the difference between picking 2 or 3 and just having one of these guys fall in your lap -- and being on the outside looking in. They are so damn frustrating.

I'm not delusional though -- The Giants are one of those teams that keeps losing largely because of poor process when it comes to the draft... I feel much better about it with Schoen and Daboll then I have at any time since 2011. Back in the Tom Coughlin/Jerry Reese days the HC and GM had wildly different views of how football should happen. The Mara family refuse to set a reporting structure of coach > GM > Owner. Both Coach and GM report directly to the owner and are expected to make the relationship work where neither one has the power to have the "final say." When they don't agree... for TC/JR the conflict was often represented in the draft and refusing to admit errors. (See Ereck Flowers not having a legit challenger to start against him for 4 seasons...) Someone won and someone lost every draft pick. And I can generally go down the list and say "scouts won that one" or "TC got his guy there." It was painful because they were never building a ROSTER. They were taking old school player, then basketball on grass player to play next to each other. It was so frustrating...

Then Gettleman. RB at #2 overall who's career played out exactly the way I thought it would instead of Allen/Lamar (I was a Rosen guy lol). Daniel Jones #6 overall. Same deal - he's exactly what we thought he was. Dexter Lawrence who is one of his very few successes was a guy he got "stuck" with. He desperately tried to trade out of that spot in THREE different places and then took Lawrence because all his poorly schemed plans fell apart. He also somehow managed to not tell his scouts what he was thinking AND all their plans leaked every year. The current GM is only now sort of out of the hole Gettyman dug.

Schoen seems to have a good process and is in alignment with his coach. This is both new and exciting for Giants fans. His draft classes have been somewhat underwhelming so far -- but I believe good process will yield good results overtime. So I have some positive feelings for the first time in a long time -- but expectations are tempered. The Giants just always seem to make the wrong choice when the HARD decisions need to made. 20 years and 1 day ago the Giants took a huge risk and moved up to get their franchise QB. They went 10 years without a losing season and won a pair of superbowls. If you think there is a QB who can be a top 5-8 QB in this class you do everything in your damn power to go get em.

The first pick is a given. The second pick is getting there. The third pick also is becoming clear, with the only real question being the team that gets him.

Tom Curran of NBC Sports Boston has posted this on X: “Expect the Patriots to take Drake Maye at number three tonight unless someone — Vikings or Giants — makes them an offer they just can’t refuse.”

The Patriots have made it clear that they want an “unprecedented” offer. At some point, they might get a last, best offer from the Giants or the Vikings. The Patriots then will have to balance taking Maye versus accepting the compensation that is being offered.

However it plays out, there will be even more pressure on Maye to deliver. If/when the rejected offer becomes known, Patriots fans will be able to say, “You mean we could have had [insert terms] instead?” if Maye struggles. If a trade happens, Giants and Vikings fans will definitely know the investment made (and possibly squandered) to get him.

If the Patriots were fully committed to taking Maye, why even consider offers? Just take him. Their willingness to listen invites speculation as to whether this is all posturing aimed at getting even more for the Patriots than whatever the Giants or Vikings would otherwise offer.

Very perplexing to me. Im going to be a nervous wreck (already am TBH). If the top 3 QB's are already nearly a lock, then what in tarnation are the Vikings going to do? They have to do something because standing pat will only land them a second fiddle. If they feel so inclined to trade up, how much are they going to offer to appease the Patriots?

I picked a fine day to quit sniffing glue.

If Minnesota blows this at 8PM, you will probably see me at 11PM, on the freekin news.

Funny if anyone other than the Patriots take Maye I will feel like the Giants have failed. I almost never feel that way. But in this draft I absolutely will.
