2021 Off-Season Discussion

We have two items that we will be voting on this off-season.

1. Cash Winnings - Do we want to knock the championship cash back to $200 and give $25 to the team with the most points in a single game and $25 to the team with the best regular season record?

2. Do we want to go ahead and remove special teams as a starting spot and retain that spot as an additional bench spot?

These will be the only two items voted on this off-season.

As it is worded I would vote NO for the 1st item. I don't like the idea as the most points likely also gets highest week when the Championship is still the main goal. I'd rather give that to the champ but that's me.
However, I'm in another league with RT where Championship week the highest non-championship game score gets their money back. Now I would be for that in this if the champ was also eligible to win it so he has the opportunity to get the winnings like any other year.

 

I'm not interested in going with that.

Basically, the best regular season record ensures a playoff team some form of payout regardless of final outcome, so that covers giving another playoff team some extra dough.

And we have the first option in another league I'm in, and most years the team with the most points has not won that additional cash. However, it has gone to a non-playoff team about half of the time, which is why I considered bringing it here.

I won't make payout changes without a vote, but I'm also not opening it up for suggestions.

If what I suggested doesn't pass with a full confidence vote (100% league backing) then we'll simply continue with the original payout breakdown.

 

Ah I misread that first part that another 25 is going to best record. I will not immediately vote no.

Have you thought about adding a defensive flex spot for the STS spot

We won't be making any changes to the starting spots.

 

There will be no changes to the cash payout (needed unanimous consent).

The removal of the SPTs will be done by simple majority.

 

I do not care enough about the SPT spot one way or another to affect other people's wishes. I will abstain so that there are an odd number of votes.

 

I would prefer you vote so that I can remain neutral throughout.

 

Fine I'll vote to remove SPT and retain the spot for the bench. I feel that it'll go that way anyways if it's simple majority.

He’s good with getting rid of SPTs for a bench spot

 

The vote is in.

SPTs have been removed, rosters remain at 30 (moved from 16 to 17 bench players).

The official rules have been updated.
