2020 STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS

Here is the day-by-day and series-by-series schedule for the 2020 Stanley Cup Qualifiers. All Eastern Conference games will be played at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto; Western Conference games will be held at Rogers Place in Edmonton.

The top four teams in each conference, based on points percentage, will play a three-game round-robin, and the No. 5-12 seeds will play in eight best-of-5 series. The winners of those series will advance to the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the four teams from the round-robin.

I read that players still have until end of day Monday to decide whether or not they're opting out from playing, now that everything else has been agreed on. So it'll be interesting to see what the teams actually look like come play time.

 

Rangers have the Hurricanes 1st round pick so they’ll automatically get a shot at Lafreniere.

 

Hamonic, for Calgary, has already opted out. I don't know of anyone else, yet.

Boston's Kampfer also opts out.

I'm surprised this is going to happen and sure hope player's and families stay in the "Bubble" @ Edmonton and Toronto.
