I will later update this post with my tenders. In the meantime, for clarification sake for all newbies, an accrued season is any year in which the player participated in a minimum of 6 games. I use pro-football-reference to check how many games a player participated in, and in how many seasons. Spotrac will give you the same info
I thought an accrued season requires the player to be on the active/inactive (IR or PUP) roster for 6 games ?
FYI if you click into a players profile on over the cap it will list how many accrued seasons that player has. Since we are using them for cap purposes anyway I feel pretty confident we can trust they have the correct number of accrued seasons. Right now you can view free agency by team and set ERFA as a filter. That will show you all of your ERFA and then you can view players individually to see how many accrued season to figure out what you have to pay them.
You would think I would remember this crap at this point... I better check a few guys and make sure the credited seasons matches the accrued I used as the cost basis...
Not that I doubted you, but I went and looked and it turns out that the NFL uses "Credited Seasons" for retirement benefit purposes (3 games minimum). They use "Accrued Seasons" for free agency designations (6 games minimum). https://in2theleague.wordpress.com/2013/05/29/nfl-cba-series-credited-vs-accrued-seasons/
