Check out the main article here https://live4sportnetwork.com/laojoe-bracketology-selection-sunday-final-edition/ I will update it if any of the projected winners lose.
Marshall SHOCKS the Shockers! 81-75. Jon Elmore with 27 pts including a long-range bomber... Check out the 40-footer at 1.30 in the clip. He reminded me of Scott Skiles. The Michigan State guard who had a decent NBA career as a player and a coach.
crazy 4 days for March Madness. #1 UVA goes out in the first game. Another #1 goes out in the second rd. Some #2's, 3's and 4's are out as well. All brackets are busted Jean. No one has all of these upsets. Thought the end of MSU-Bucknell was ridiculous. Very chippy and on a foul call, the Bucknell player tried to knock the ball out of a MSU players hands and then the MSU player held the ball up high over his head as the Bucknell player was shorter than he was. Bad on both players. Bad on both coaches too. UNC-Texas A&M - UNC down by 20 with 2 min left and they are playing a trap defense and fouling still ? Ridiculous. Expected much better out of Roy Williams. How the hell do several of these schools down by so many points, under a minute left, keep fouling the opposing teams? then they opposing team makes a free throw or both and then the other team stops fouling? the outcome is the same. you were so far behind you weren't winning anyways. stop fouling. One of these examples was Marshall vs WVA yesterday. the 22 min to finish the last 43 seconds of the Friday night game was awful. 3 lengthy reviews took up all this time with 43 seconds left. Auburn cheated. One of their players got fouled at the end of the game and he was a terrible free throw shooter. when the ref went to the scorers table, he tossed the ball to his teammate, who was a better free throw shooter. when the ref came back, he saw the player holding the ball and allowed him to shoot the ball. that's wrong and no one caught it till the next day. dirty Auburn. Jim Boeheim is under some fire for fouling MSU players instead of allowing them to shoot a game tying 3 pointer. I guess you do anything to win, right? Some people today aren't happy with it.
You forgot how NC State beat Georgetown many years ago. They had a game earlier in that tournament where they were down a lot of points with two minutes left and fouled they’re way to victory.
How much were they down ? UNC was not winning yesterday. And UNC was still fouling with under 2 min left and STILL DOWN BY 20. Ridiculous. If it's within reach, okay do it. Not 20. And my other example they keep fouling and then finally the losing coach says "no more fouls" and the winning team holds the ball for 30 sec till the clock winds down. why? it was over before your last foul. I watched every game this weekend and so many examples of this. Call off the trap and the fouls. The winning team in most cases held the ball to not score again. Don't be a bunch of fucking assholes and keep fouling them and trying to trap when you're down 12-20 with a minute left in the game.
NC State was down that much at least with a minute left in one of their games. They trailed by multiple scores in every game they played in that tournament and fouled their way to victory in every game winning the title over Georgetown. Before that nobody used the foul to come back from far back. They beat Patrick Ewing and the undefeated Hoyas.
That was 83/84 before the shot clock era. Dean Smith's 4 corners could bleed the clock, which UNC did all the time. Different game now. And I'm not talking fouling players in the first half or early second quarter. I'm talking down 20 with 2 min left. Small difference.
That NC State team pulled a couple of double digit comebacks in the last couple of minutes of the game but like you said the last couple of minutes lasted 30 minutes.
last night - down 20 with 1:40 left and Texas A&M playing a trap and tight defense and took 2 fouls with under 2 min to play. Again, this isn't a close game. You're down 20! Enough.
Like they said that is the "public bracket". she definitely has one at home that has them winning them all.
