Just wanted to get some chatter about the offseason. This one’s been, uhmmm, different.

What are your thoughts about such things as:
    - What teams have improved themselves the most?
    - Which team(s) have the most crippling organizational/roster inequalities that still must be addressed?
    - How will the flat cap impact teams? And, which teams may actually benefit from it?
    - With the Kraken draft looming, what are some of the strategies teams will consider to comply with eligibility rules, and how to make the bite hurt less?
    - What everyone is anxious to discuss: just how fu<€ing awesome will the Sabres first line be?
    - Anything else you want to discuss ...

I gotta go with the Golden Knights... retaining Lehner and MAF and then adding Pietrangelo on the D, makes them pretty good on the back-end and they will score goals.... solid team that got better. Honarable mention to the Calgary Flames also.

Good and interesting question. Off the top of my head, Id say Chicago and Ottawa. Two teams that need a sense of direction, chemistry and goaltending.

Awesome with a capitol 'A'... 'totally, fer sure' - absolfreekinlutelyawesome.

Just wanted to get it rolling, Dan. Good questions and im already excited for the next season. Im very interested in watching Stevie Y do his thing in Detroit.

    Great thread idea Dan.

Hate to say it but the Habs have improved quite a bit. Theyve also overspent and will hurt themselves in the long run but for the sake of the upcoming season they've improved.
Allen in net, Edmundson is a decent (read: not Karl Alzner) Dman, Anderson will be a fan favorite until he gets hurt again and they had what I think is the best value signing of the offseason by stealing Toffoli for 75 cents on the dollar. Gallagher for how much!?!

Taylor Hall signing was huge for Buffalo. Congrats on reeling in the big fish Dan. I think he will make them much more dangerous and should help Eichel get more room out there.
Still in need of an NHL goalie Buffalo. Hard to ignore that again this year if they wanna compete in this division.

Leafs signing Jumbo Joe today is pretty cool. Brodie a sneaky great signing.

Tyson Barrie a great signing and value signing for Edmonton. Could really transform that D core......of course he could also be lost and not utilized correctly like last year.

Krug was a pretty good signing for St. Louis. Of course the expectations shouldnt be he fills Pietrangelo's shoes but he will still be valuable for them and fill in the pp role well.

Kevan Miller back in Boston. Control your enthusiasm gents.
I do like Miller although I hope he doesnt make the big man expendable on the blueline. Craig Smith a quiet but great signing. I think that he'll help breathe a little life in to the middle 6F.
