They just have too many options in PBurgh...

In all seriousness though, you have to be impressed with the Steelers staying competitive despite ducking second contracts on almost all of their draft picks.

The Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers agreed to a trade Wednesday that will send Pickens to Dallas for a 2026 third-round pick. The Cowboys will also send a 2027 fifth-round pick to the Steelers and get back a 2027 sixth-round pick.

I never thought Pickens would last this long in Pittsburgh.

Hope Jurrah didn’t want to keep him long term. He’s now saying he doesn’t want to do a long term contract, but rather wants to prove he’s a top WR then enter free agency. So it might be one and done.

Trey Sermon landed a gig in Pittsburgh... Its a 1 year deal.

He joins a running backs room that includes rookie Kaleb Johnson, Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell.

Sermon, 26, entered the NFL as a third-round pick of the 49ers in 2021. He spent one season in San Francisco, one in Philadelphia and two in Indianapolis.

Sermon has 134 carries for 505 yards and three touchdowns in 42 games over four seasons.

In two seasons as Jonathan Taylor’s backup, Sermon ran 110 times for 431 yards and two touchdowns. He played a career-high 245 offensive snaps last season.

Trey Hendrickson and Zac Taylor have a real nice relationship going... not the kind of distraction that team needs. Hendrickson says he will not play in 2025 under his current contract. Something has got to give there... too bad the tight-wods who run the show in Cincinnati keep letting these things happen.

Ravens, RB Derrick Henry agree to terms on two-year, $30 million extension

King Henry's reign in Baltimore will be seen through the 2027 season, at least.

The Ravens and Derrick Henry have agreed to a two-year, $30 million contract extension that includes $25 million guaranteed, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Wednesday. Baltimore subsequently announced the extension.

Rapoport added that the 31-year-old Henry's $15 million per-year average is the most ever for a running back over 30 years old.

Henry was entering the final season of the two-year, $16 million deal that landed him in Baltimore last offseason, and sees a significant raise following a tremendous debut season with the Ravens.

The bruising RB flourished in offensive coordinator Todd Monken's system in 2024, gaining 1,921 rushing yards to nearly become the first player in league history to surpass 2,000 yards in a single season twice. His 16 rushing touchdowns led the NFL last year and his 2,114 total scrimmage yards finished second only behind Saquon Barkley, the latest member of the 2,000-yard club.

I’ll have to go back and look when I get home today, but I believe there was some reports that leaned towards this prior to his draft.

Definitely was some smoke from things Ive read today, even as far back as 2023, Carl, Calebs father was telling reporters and authors at GQ that Caleb could go back to school if a team that looked like trouble was going to draft him.

IMO, too many scouts and writers were told by Caleb or his father that they more or less didnt like the upcoming situation with the Bears drafting him. My point is, too many people knew of this after Caleb declared to keep this a secret. Even Bears players appeared to me to have an attitude towards him which erupted when Caleb refused to have medical evaluations at the combine... they said dont bring that holywood shit into the teams building.

The Ban of the Tush Push failed by 2 votes as reported by ESPN. So, defenses can learn how to stop it, because it isnt going away.

I can just imagine how many variations are going to become of this. Tush Push fake to a single receiver uncovered, etc...

    Aidan Hutchinson: I’m fully cleared

Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson said something during his Thursday press conference that should create a lot of smiles around the Detroit area.

Hutchinson has been recovering from last year’s broken tibia and fibula for some time and there have been plenty of good reports on his progress, including a recent one from defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard about how good Hutchinson has looked in the team’s offseason workouts. On Thursday, Hutchinson gave the last update on his rehab.

“I’m fully cleared. . . . I’m rolling with the boys now and it feels like I’m back to being myself again,” Hutchinson said. “I’m really looking forward to the season. I think this is the most excited I’ve been for OTAs in my life. This is the biggest hiatus I’ve had without playing ball so I’m pumped.”

Linebacker Fred Warner’s new three-year deal with the 49ers is now official.

The 49ers formally announced the agreement on Thursday afternoon. Warner is a four-time first-team All-Pro and he’s made the team the last three seasons while starting all 115 games he’s played since the 49ers drafted him in the third round in 2018, which makes it easy to understand why General Manager John Lynch was effusive in his praise for what Warner brings to the club.

“Fred’s leadership is exemplary and his approach to his craft is contagious,” Lynch said in a statement. “Fred sets the tone for our entire team with the consistency, speed and physicality with which he plays. Off the field, his passion, energy, and professionalism are second to none and truly embody what it means to be a Niner. We are extremely proud to get this extension done and lock Fred in for the future.”

Warner has two years left on his deal, so he’s now under contract to the 49ers through the 2029 season. Reports pegged the value of his new deal at $63 million with $56 million in guaranteed money.
