JJ Pegues let's see how he fits. For me, he is Javon Hargrave. A bull in the middle who is good at tying up two blockers, and get penetration, plays with good pad level. More importantly his character is through the roof. Did you guys know he scored 7 TD as Fullback and was a move the chains guy on 3rd and short. He will have ST value, he loves to compete, I will tell you why PIttsburgh is drafting him, not just the shit I just listed, he went to the same highschool as. drumroll D.K. Metcalf, I shit you knot. He was also given the number 38 which is an Ole Miss honor Chucky Mullins Courage award, which isn't handed out to just anyone. Plus he was one of if not the first prospects brought into The Southside. He will 100% be in my final mock, and is one of my bang the table guys.

185. Ajani Cornelius OT Oregon

 

One more player to pick, has to be a defender to be balanced. There was a few later round guys that came in for visits. Cornelius was not in for a visit, but I happen to like the player. Every pick cannot be a pre-draft visit. So far I am 4/5. They really did not bring any WR with a 5-7th round grade, So I went OT which has a lot of value. Cornelius may be a bit stiff and backed out of the Senior Bowl, not a red flag but not an endorsement. What enticed me about the player is two things. Nasty Demeanor No Injury History.

I will break it down here, as to what he picked and who else was available. WR flew off the board in round 1, teams waited on CB. I am not taking Dylan Sampson over Charles Grant, in fact Charles Davis had him as his pound the table guy last night on path to the draft confirming my intuition. Milum came in for a visit, something Bugfucker totally missed, not ONE of his picks are part of the 30, so he did not do his homework. However if you've ever done a 7 round mock, it takes great effort. Why is he taking WR, Edge and ignoring OL and CB? Breuener is a one year wonder, but the obvious connection to the Steelers I get it. I am pounding the table for Hunter Wohler, that's a fact Jack. Dike at 185 is way too rich he's a 7th rounder and doesn't have the route tree. Taking Jimmy Horn who finds holes in zones is a much better option if you went late round WR.

Didn't like that I missed JJ Pegues and Charles Grant, two of my bang the table guys. Harmon was gone at 21, as was Will Johnson and Matthew Golden. Getting Hampton on a 5 year deal was super in my book. Took a QB that I think Tomlin wants. Alexander was a steal at 83 as was Williams who led the nation in INT. I like Horn over Dike and Lambert-Smith, I think he has more a route tree. Ivey was a unicorn, I could not pass on him, my other options were Zah Frazier and Joshua Gray, with not much OT to chose from it was picked clean like a Big Mac in a fish tank full of Piranha. Ivey is 6-6 275 with a good motor and 14 sacks, he replaces the washed up Preston Smith. There were trades, Eagles moved up for Sanders, then the Bucs moved up for Scourton. So basically they traded from 18 back to 32 and up to 21, kind of whacky, but hey I took pick 53 with a shit-eating grin. I got Milroe about where he should go, not over-drafting based on anything but common fucking sense. Alexander has been a favorite of mine so at 83 it was a no brainer. I got too cute and backed off of 123, guys I wanted were gone. (Jalen Travis, Logan Brown) but I did not anticipate getting sniped at 147 by the SF Gold Diggers and missed out on Pegues. So I got greedy and traded back to far, but that was what the simulator offered. Williams was the consolation prize. I keep taking Hunter Wohler, who is just a football player and a depth piece.

 

Got all these players plus a KC 3rd in 2026. If Milroe does not work out, then Kahn will move up for a QB live for Pittsburgh in 2026. Expect some comp picks for that draft, and I hope we don't give away picks for stiffs like last year. Russell Wilson and the team tanked with 7 losses in a row. So I wish they had kept Fields, but Rudolph is not the end of the world, a lot of the players on Pittsburgh liked him, including one George Pickens.

Wilson, Fields, Dan Moore Jr. are going to net 3rd and 4th round comp picks. Add in that KC 3rd, and you got the ammo to move up for a QB. or I don't think, unless they suck balls in 2025, Arch Manning is going to be available, that is if he declares. I think the kid makes 10M a year playing for Texas so he's in no rush. His dad, grandad, and uncles are going to see where he could get picked and I guaranfuckingtee that will make a HUGE difference if and when he declares. We all remember 2004, Archie did not like the Chargers coaches or organization. I Beleive the Mannings have respect for Pittsburgh and Tomlin. But.... they do like the NYG, and if they Blow again, Dabol is gone, so that depends on who the new coach is.

I would not say manning+ is the consensus overall #1 pick but I find it hard to argue against it. Some guys don't like Allar, but I am in his camp, he is young and got better each year. Protypical size and comes from a solid program.

 

Harmon is my pick at 21 but he is no longer there at 21, seems to be a trend.
What if Broderick Jones sux this year, you cannot go into the season without another OT, again banging the table for Charles Grant.

Off the top of my head, here are my bang the table players from early to late. A few I left off because there is no second round pick and a few late first guys IF they trade back. Not so easy finding trading partners in the real draft, simulators make it seem easy.

Mock Draft, no trades, no simulator. Most likely their pick, all but Grant came in for a visit. Grant is just too much a value over a RB and I don't think Kaleb Johnson will be there at 83. I also don't think they are taking Hampton at 21. I think Kahn might trade back, but like I said 100 times you have to have a partner and plenty left on the board before you make that call. I would listen to the NYG. picks 34, 65,99, 101 are in play. They may want Sanders if he gets to us, read an article that Sanders had a good visit is a load of shit, reports are coming out that he may not be their top QB past Ward, AND Sanders would have to say it went well because it elevates his stock. Steelers have to lie too, so teams think he will go at 21. Rooney and Mara are close, they sit together in league meetings, and Dabol is going to be out of a job unless he gets his QB. at 3 no fucking way in hell would anyone pass on Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter unless they were mentally unstable. Sanders is boom or bust let's be honest. He is a gritty kid but he takes too many sacks and chucks it all over the field. He won't be playing the Colorado schedule he will be facing smarter bigger faster meaner defenses. One other thing to ponder, mediocre arm, that is fine in New Orleans, someone correct me if I am wrong but how did he do in the snow? I really don't know. Colorado isn't in a snow belt like CLE, PITT, BUFF, NY, NE. Pick 123, I think you have to look at the tape from 2023, and instead of Giddens you take Ollie Gordon, a bigger back.

Watched several draft shows and I am finding it is mostly a waste of time.

1. It's geared for the listeners who don't know shit about the draft other than maybe the top 20 picks.
2. Shedeur Sanders is 1 fucking player out of 257, stop hobbing his knob. Kiper thinks anyone who drafts a QB ahead of Sanders (other than Ward) is ridiculous. Again, what NFL Front office does he work for?
3. Is it me or does ESPN have some sort of chemical in the water that makes their draft hosts smile, nod, and twitch? They must be nodding yes all the time so listeners agree with them. If you've ever seen The Movie Suckers you know what I am talking about.
4. Mike Greenberg is a shit host, knows less than any National host about the draft. get Louis Riddick on there. I can actually tolerate Kiper now, it comes with age, for both of us I guess, but he's still stuck on his one or two "guys"
5. This season on Path to the Draft has been almost void of Daniel Jerimiah, and the show suffers from it. I follow him on X, hoping he puts out his top 150 board before Thursday so I can tweak mine.
6. If ESPN didn't have orange crushers or PTTD didn't have bang the table, it would be unwatchable. I find myself hitting FF to find interesting takes.
7. God help you if you have to watch ESPN, Berman was stale 20 years ago, now he's some rotted vegetable in the crisper drawer.
8. I miss Mike Mayock.
9. Cynthia Freeland is a Fantasy geared host, just no real reason to have her on draft shows.
10. I have Peacock so Florio and Simms are part of the programming I pay for and I still won't watch them. I have the streaming service for other shows. Ditto for Colin Cowherd, another jagov on FS1.

With the Eagles connection I think the Steelers could try to get to 32 and draft Milroe.

 

Eagles don’t have a lot of extra capital beach not sure what the’d give up but we know Roseman, he's a mover and a shaker.

I think the. Chiefs are one of the better trading partners, They have picks 31, 63, 66 Two of those for 21 is worth the trade. I would NOT trade out of the first round because you lose the 5 year rookie deal.

Let's go team by team, where would they likely trade up or back.

1, TEN Sticking at 1 Cam Ward is a no brainer. They have 8 picks, but no picks from 35-103, trading back @ 35 is most logical. Potential partner here is SF, with 11 picks. TN moves from 35 to 43 and tries to get 75.
2. CLE BPA at 2, and it won't be Sanders. they have enough picks but nothing from 104-179. They have 94,104 so they could slide back at one point and bridge that gap. They have 8 picks, so they can be creative.
3. NYG BPA at 3, either Carter or Hunter, I think it's Carter TBFO. They have good capital, a trade up might be in order, at some point to get their "guy" Dabol and Schein are on their last legs and if they stink in 2025 they're toast.
4. NE before Drake Maye ends up in IR, they nee a LT. But they desperately need a WR. Would they trade 38 for Pickens? Burden, Higgins etc.., look good, but are unproven. Vrabel might be the guy to set Pickens straight.
5. JAX Their D stinks, 5. Graham, 36. Trey Amos/ M Hairston. But they need to get Lawrence help, mostly OT, TE, WR. They have picks 70.88 I can see they moving up for one of these 3.
6. LVR plenty of picks, and they need help, but that gap from 68-108 is tough, might slide back at 68 but not too far.
7. NYJ Not likely to trade, their picks are spaced very well round by round. Membou is likely the pick @ 7.
8. CAR They are in good shape with picks. But a huge gap 163-230, with picks 111, 114 I can see a trade happening.
9. NO 9 picks, probably making a move up for a QB, could use 40 and give up one of their two thirds, 71,93. Not convinced Sanders at 9, Cam Jordan is like 100 years old, get a top EDGE and come back up for Dart, Milroe, Shough.
10.. CHI They need weapons and protection, Duh. Huge gaps between 72-148 and 148-233. Once they have OT, RB, EDGE, 10,39,41 I can see them moving back from 72 to try and fill gaps.
11. SF They have 11 picks, seems like fell back closer to the Rams. Man they cannot protect Purdy. OT is the pick, then EDGE in the second, then WR to reset the room. 11 picks is nuts, moving up at some point.
12. DAL Good old Jerry, you know they are moving up at some point. With 10 picks and Dak's window closing they need a lot. I see Golden at 12, Crypt Keeper likes speed
13. MIA Their stars are not happy, basically Ramsey and Hill. With 10 picks they can draft Will Johnson and Jaylen Noel. But they also need OL help, and a Safety. I can see them trading one of their unhappy stars.
14. IND They are so fucking boring, I am shitting a sailboat if Tyler Warren is not their BPA. Loveland is a solid backup plan. I think they fill holes with good spacing in the draft and 7 picks. Trades are unlikely.
15. ATL only 5 picks, so many needs. They desperately need an EDGE rusher. Trading back highly probable, deep class at pass rushers.
16. ARI only 6 picks, but 3 in the top 100. I would take Walter Nolen here great fit for a 4-3 DT. Possibly they move back at some point to fill in gap 152-225.
17. CIN our "buddies" Their D blows, they lose games 41-44. Mike Green fits the Bengals type of player with his off the field shit. They need QB pressure. Trades unlikely their picks are well spaced.
18.SEA man they got the AMMO, trading up highly likely because they need OL help in the worst way.
19. TAM No 6th rounder, if they sit at where they are they can probably fill in their needs at Defense early, don't see them trading.
20. DEN Pretty unilateral picks, evenly spaced, they really need RB or TE. Hampton or Loveland makes a lot of sense.
21. PIT No second rounder, only 6 picks. Yes I can see them making a trade back and or moving on from Pickens now they have Metcalf. @ 21 Four players make the most sense. Hampton, Golden, Johnson, Harmon.
22. LAC They have a fuckton of picks, they have their QB, now Najee, but need a TE, I can see them moving up for Loveland, possibly Grant with Harbaugh at the helm.
23. GB Uniform picks throughout the draft, CB, EDGE should be good options, I think they sit and don't do any trading unless it's late in the draft.
24. MN Hoo Boy, they only have 4 picks, yes trading back is 100% in the cards.
25. HOU Sophomore slump for Stroud, need to get him protection. With picks 79 and 89 they could move up ahead of SEA and getting their OT, if the big 3 are gone and they want Simmons.
26. LAR Yup, they are making a trade I bet dollars to donuts. With two thirds and 4 6ths, and McVay wanting to get QB of future, or helping Stafford who's window is closing makes a ton of sense.
27. BAL They suck because they have so many picks they can go BPA or move up with a lot of Ammo, (11 picks). Since they need EDGE, OL, DB they could be targeting their guy at 27 and if it gets hairy they could move up, possibly ahead to get Loveland.
28. DET Even amount of picks, they need a pass rusher to complement Hutchinson. Ezeiruaku out of BC fits here and with his shoulder being an unknown, maybe they steal Mykel Williams.
29. WAS only 5 picks, I think they stick at 29, but possible trade back at 61 to fill the void between 128 and 205
30. BUF yes, moving up is very likely. 10 picks and they need to get DL help. There are 3 SL with a first round grade, if two are gone, and they get nervous, they could jump with MN and stay out of conferrence and get ahead of BALT and HOU
31. KC Yes, OT might be thinned out, Is Ersery and Connely the same grade as Simmons, that is what Mahomes needs. Also very possible Banks is sitting there at 21, Hello Omar, we have a late second or early third.
32. PHI absolutley, they way to stay on top is to keep reloading. They need an EDGE, and jumping BAL makes sense. They have 4 5ths, all bunched together. Plus they normally trading maniacs on draft day, Roseman is very good.

 

Man, Harmon went 12th traded back got Nolen and Milroe out of it.
Farmer was a steal at 123 and could not pass up on Roberts at 196, he is being mocked to PIttsburgh a lot. He can drop a few lbs. and be an edge rusher.
Got one of my BTT guys in Wohler, took McCoy to balance out the draft.

Not a fan of this one in general. Hampton went 23rd, maybe I could have stayed pat, but would have never gotten Milroe.

3 DL, well 2 DT and 1 EDGE, maybe 1 of those could have been a better pick. I do like Belton as a people mover, we need ass kickers and big dudes.
