High upside pick right there. I think for a team that has a very good or better sub 6'0" slot guy already, he could be the perfect complement. Especially a scheme like maybe the Rams that likes to use pre-snap motion/end arounds to keep defenses guessing and buy extra space. If he learns a route tree and just improves his consistency catching slightly, could be a hell of a value pick a year or two down the road.
We had an agreement and last moment he balked because he was worried he would miss out on his player.
I remember one year when the Colts were picking somewhere between 14-21 I was desperate to move back for extra ammo, and just to improve value of my selection, I desperately waited longer than preferred for a trade offer. Didn't hear shit. Munoz was still here handling Denver, handed a 2nd and a couple more things to the team right after me 10 minutes later. I probably didn't show a ton of frustration. But I still remember it. Must have been irked.
The Jets adding Savion feels like it would mean the end for Corley there. I don't know that you can roster two guys like that, right?
Is this about me and Mykel? Or related to current deal? I'm just trying to get the context right on interpreting this.
Please elaborate. I didn't follow Corley year one real well. But I remember starting to feel like a bit of an outsider because some were talking him up like the next Steve Smith Sr, and I just wasn't nearly as enamored.
Corley is barely a "receiver" and I think it's similar for Savion, though he has a better toolkit. You can mess around with him at RB as well. But I don't think you can roster two players at receiver who maybe aren't really receivers right now.
That's fair. You're right Savion has a better toolkit. At this point in the draft, the sheer size can be argued as a redzone weapon. Imagine what a Shanahan or McVay could scheme up for him Edit: His "RB" usage was surprisingly impressive to me. For whatever that's worth
StlCrtn in PM just said he was fine with it but quoted the original thing here. I'm gonna pick to save time if that's fine.
