I didn’t think he’d get drafted very high. He seemed avoidable. That is sad, wonder what the story will be
Very sad… this is why we are always telling our kids to think about those around them when driving. It’s about their safety, but it’s also others. This kids life was most likely going to be turned upside down even more with the trial. It probably had more to do with living with the victims death though. I feel for everyone involved in both of their lives. Unfortunately, maybe this can bring some closure.
Skattebo could go as high as the 2nd, although I don't think he will. He was ranked as a late pick before he showed his true skills in his final few games. He really opened up the toolbox vs Texas and showed all the different ways he could be used. If not for the refs who knows what more he could have shown.
The other story about a player in this draft that eats at me is the Isaiah Bond deal. The kid rubbed me the wrong way when he declared he was going to break the 40 record and wasn't even as fast as his teammate. Now, these allegations come out. I have a hard time believing there isn't something to them, unjustly of course, but impressions are lasting. I hope they aren't accurate, but I feel for victims and tend to side on their story when they go public. That isn't easy for victims to do.
