Yeah it still has time “frames”. But we got ahead 4-5 picks. Back in the early years of doing this I think we had like 2-3 hour slots in early rounds. Sometimes we’d get ahead like 6 picks and end up waiting almost a full day. It was Paaiinful!
We got ahead full rounds and had literal days off. It worked out well when it fell on Good Friday. That is the toughest day to get ppl active.
Value is just too good here... match him with Kamara and look out. The New Orleans Saints select: Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa
Cardinals Draft So Far: Donovan Jackson, OG, Ohio State: A perfect fit for this running scheme, Jackson provides both mobility and some power up front. He can compete for either the left or right side starting guard role. He's going to be a great starter in this league for a long time, and if he's in the right offense, he'll be vying for a Pro Bowl spot every year. I really do think that he and the Cardinals are a perfect match for each other and he has been my pick in several mocks at this point. I don't think the Cardinals stand pat at 16; but if they do, they'll go BPA. Jordan Burch, DL, Oregon: We already know that Kyler Murray's favorite DT in this class is Derrick Harmon. However, in this world, Harmon is gone. You know who was available? Harmon's teammate, Jordan Burch, an incredibly toolsy DL prospect. Burch can line up at 5-T or 3-T and eventually be a difference maker for the Cardinals. He can watch and learn from Calais Campbell for a year, and eventually form a dangerous tandem with Darius Robinson. He's hot-and-cold in both phases of the game at this point, but when he wins, he's dominant. Worth a swing for that upside. Darien Porter, CB, Iowa St: Upside is a theme for day 2 of the draft. Darien Porter is tall, long, lightning fast, and incredibly quick. He has all the traits in the world, and in my opinion compares very favorably to UTSA's Tariq Woolen coming out. Porter offers some enticing size that the Cardinals lack overall. Garrett Williams, Max Melton, and Kei'Trel Clark are on the smaller side. Darien is a risky prospect simply because there's such a small amount of tape. He didn't start until he was a 6th-year senior. That alone could give teams pause. The tape he did put out is great, though, and he could be a unicorn at the position. Barrett Carter, LB, Clemson: More reinforcements for the defensive side of the ball. Carter is rangy, he can cover, he's a talented spy and excels as a blitzer. He was a Butkus Award finalist this year. Yeah, he's not 250, but he has a great skillset overall and - like many of the players selected ahead of him - he's dripping with upside. I have him as LB3 in this class behind Jihaad Campbell (in a world where I rank Jalon Walker as an edge) and Carson Schwesingwer, and ahead of guys like Stutsman, Bassa, and Kiser.
