I've always liked Ballard cuase he's the 1st person that really gave me a inside look into the draft room with the Youtube stuff, but the couple years you feel like you can see a difference in how he does it and compared to the other 2 I see alot of in Brad Holmes with the Lions and Adam Peters with the Commanders and how close them 2 seem to be with and in sync with the coaching staff when it comes to Picking players while with Ballard it's always felt like a scout heavy choice with the coach present to me.
I get that you can't always keep everybody, and when guys like Drew Dalman move on for the big bucks, you wish them well and move on. But owner Arthur Blank talks about the importance of consistency in the GM and head coaching spots. I don't know if he really gets it that the schemes themselves are what need to be more consistent. The unnecessary roster churn on both sides of the ball has eaten the team alive for his entire tenure as owner. In his earlier years it was painfully obvious on the offensive line. Now it's just a bad joke on defense.
I was making sauce that Bloomfield residents (for all my Pittsburgh people) would be proud of... Made it for the Chicken Parm and Rotini I am making tomorrow.
I think I am good shape, got a list of 4 guys I have no problem taking at 21. I will check back in the morning seems like we hit the wall.
