I’ve said it before, do I think he might be the best QB available to help our team, yes. Where exactly do we see him taking the team if we signed him? Don’t see the Super Bowl, so what exactly would he be bringing to the table other than a ton of drama and make the locker room more cancerous? I’d rather us pass, even if it means we have a terrible season, but gets us toward the top of the draft to actually get a future QB. Unfortunately, I think Rudolph is capable enough and will get us to about the same place we’ve been recently and we’ll remain in purgatory drafting in the high teens, low 20’s.

Not really sure who the QB coach is that’ll coach up and advance our future QB, didn’t really see any improvement for fields when he was here, although he decided he had enough and shunned the Steelers in free agency.

So far only 1 QB visit, Tyler Shough. 3 DL and 4 RB 4 WR the Kicker they brought in was local, Boz ain't going anywhere. 1 OL, Wyatt Milum, but he's WVa so he doesn't count against the 30.

Well, we won’t be bringing Russ back, let the A’ron drama begin, imagine Rogers says nah dawg, I’m done.

I've been discussing this with Stlcrtn, and there is a PPG article who spells out what they think the plan is. Ride with Rudolph and Flacco?? and some rookie. Trade Pickens and get capital to move up in 2026 Next years class is much better IMHO. Two outliers here, at 21 they could actually take Jaxson Dart. At 123 they could look at Shough who the more I think about it, he's already 26 that is going to kill his stock.

Stlcrtn mentioned McCord, I was down on him but starting to warm up, taking a second look. Why couldn't he flourish at Ohio State with Marvin Harrison and the rest of the stud WR, maybe it was Ryan Day farting glitter, dunno. ACC is not the Big Ten so there's that but then his pro day his looked good. Since he is not the Next Dan Marino, see it, throw it and climb the pocket if it's not there, why did he lead the country in yards, I cannot answer that I did not watch Syracuse. His stats say he chucked it all over the field basically he was pass happy (592 attempts). Then a deal breaker could be he is from NJ, think Kenny Mittens. Ok, Will Howard,.he's like Vanilla Ice Cream, no sprinkles, soggy cone for me, don't dislike him, don't hate him. Passing on Riley Leonard, one series vs. Ohio State and he pukes himself out of the rest of the game, Fuggetaboutit. Quinn Ewers had Arch Manning breathing down his neck, who knows how that how he was effected. Jalen Milroe accuracy issues, but super smart kid, with a great character. 7th round guys maybe Rourke out of Indiana, I am passing on Gabriel, he's an Oompa Loompa. Cook runs hot and cold, maybe that is why Burden lost his shit vs. BC, frustration.

I am invested in two teams in the collaborative draft, takes time away from here, I will do a mock just to get us back on track. I know I just took Logan Brown, I think I was desperate for OT help but could have done better.

Traded back, got into the second, picked up a blue chip RB in Hampton. Harmon was gone, Alexander was my consolation prize. Bech was too good a value to pass up, like Cornelius over Logan for sure, Bassa and Wholer are sure tacklers, Kone is under the radar, not perfect but in the 7th round you take a shot. Also note I got a KC 3rd rounder in 2026, Draft capital to come up and get us a fucking QB.

Also trying not to tip my hand as in the collaborative is a live exercise and some of my thoughts and players I am keeping to myself.

I agree with your assessments on the QB situation, I’m not really high on any of them, and there’s grumblings the Steelers might take Dart at 21, not really sold on him, especially potentially having to start sooner than later. Not sure how I feel about Manning next year, as you mentioned, he was breathing down the neck of Ewers, but couldn’t unseat him and now he’ll only have 1 year of starting experience. I am of the consensus, I won’t be happy about it, but we need to get ourselves in a position to draft our future QB. I don’t think Pickens will be around next year, and am not adverse to trading him, provided we get the proper value for him.

for our draft pick in round 1, I’d like to see us go BPA, next year, we’re going to have a bunch of holes to fill, QB, WR, RB, OL to just start, that doesn’t even bring up TJ or if Cam sticks around. Not sure he’d keep playing during a rebuild he’ll never see to fruition.

The Answer is Drew Allar. This is the next Steelers QB, hoping that Manning, Nelson out of UTEP, Sellers out of South Carolina all have great years and push Allar back to top 10 but not top 5, which will be harder to move up because teams that will suck ass in 2025 will be drafting a QB. I am not convinced Dart is going to be there at 21, I think New Orleans makes a move for him, they desperately need to replace Carr. (Cah if you live in MA, RI, VT, NH, or ME) I am going to run a simulator with BPA and nobody will like it, but it makes sense. Doing it now, basing it on interest, need, and not penciling in let's draft DT in round 1 because it seems to feel that way.

I hate that mock draft, but Steelers really like Milroe, bascially he is a Tomlin guy. Moved back passed on Grant, took Hampton Why I dunno, have to replace Najee and the RB depth and talent is lacking. When I took Burke, it came down to him or TJ Sanders, Burke I have rated higher and again, Tomlin loves him some Ohio State guys. Believe it or not Pegues grades out higher than most expect, a 3rd round grade so I waited for value over reaching. Rivers is a big dude with a good wingspan, so many of these College OT's have alligator arms. Not Rivers, just short of 35", he's a Condor. Wohler is just a lunch pail guy who will excell on ST and come in on dime packages, some really good tape on him. One of those football players, not a track athlete.

I really hope they don't take a QB in the 1st this year, whether Dart is there or not. They have enough other needs to address and the value is there at DT.

I'm curious of anyone's thought on trying to keep Pickens, similar to what the Bengals did, although I think it hamstrings Cincy a bit in the salary cap. Let's just say Rudolph plays well and Pickens/Metcalf is all that. Maybe GP is happy and the Steelers want to pay him, I'd be open to it. Then they could get a guy like Allar and have the WR core all set.

I think to keep him, they’re going to have to tag him. The projected tag amount for next year is around $28 mil, but I’m not willing to pay him as an elite #1, there’s too many red flags with him where he either quits or takes plays off, which is extremely frustrating because I think he has a ton of talent. I still question his health status at the end of last year, I think he used it to sit out…. I think a lot will be based on how well Austin and Wilson play this year.

I understand why Cincinnati did what they did, but they’re going to have to win in a bunch of shootouts and better hope and pray one of those 3 don’t get injured during the season for a long period.

Traded back still Got Harmon and then Dart. Porter was BPA passed on WR. Belton was too good a value to pass on. WR room is not desperate for talent waited until round 6. Traded 21 and 220 for 32 and 64.

I grabbed Porter for our mock here for the Packers. He's really athletic, but inexperienced and a bit older. I would like him as a Steeler for ST.

I have been pounding the table for Allar since forever. 2026 Home crowd, that is when you make your move. Pickens and Metcalf will create problems, just need a line to protect and a QB to see the open dude. I am also open to keeping Pickens, he is a fan of Rudolph, so we got that going for us. And I think a lot of fans forget we have a really good WR3 waiting for his opportunity, Roman Wilson. Yeah unproven, but talented kid, now healed up, and had a year to sit and learn to be a pro. I am against Aaron Drama Queen Rodgers, but pro Flacco to bridge the gap until we get the right young QB on the roster.

This one is off topic, but there is a connection. Sports Gambling. The NCAA has an ad out saying it is not right to have fans that lost money on games yelling at Student athletes. The problem isn't the degrading of the athlete and bullying, it's the fucking greedy NCAA that allows the gambling to begin with. Today we are littered with morons with gambling, credit card, and student loan debt. It's simple hard work and investing smartly will get you into a home so you can build a family.

More nonsense from ESPN, Asswipe Field Yates has Tyler Shough at 42, but Ewers and Miroe not in his top 50. Hampton at 26 and Alexander at 49. A buddy of mine sent me a text thought I might get a chuckle out of this. Actually Field Yates and Mel Kiper, don't confuse the two. One is a chucklefuck the other is a chuckfuckler. Kiper has Dart around 15, and Schwesinger at 25 and drumroll, Sheduer Sanders at 5.:wall: These do not align with national averages, or NFL.com, not the bible, but put together by former NFL Scouts. The one guy I respect on ESPN for the draft, just tweeted he is going to see The Accountant 2 when it comes out April 25th. Louis Riddick has redacted the post on X, but it just shows how much of the Entertainment in ESPN really does take precedence over S for Sports.

A lot less cannot miss players in this draft, but then I factor in the availability of a player. I got a list of guys who didn't work out at the combine or pro day, didn't do the Senior Bowl circuit, almost like they made a business decision based on fear of injury or exposing a flaw. Give me guys like Darius Alexander who did it all, they are competitors, just too bad Pittsburgh had to give up their second round pick. I think Quinyon Mitchell has an inside for his abilities and I would not be shocked if he went 32 to the Eagles. I could do a 32 team 2 round mock and I am not giving Pittsburgh a QB.
