Average might be pushing it at this point. I would have thought Giants fans, more than most, would have seen more than enough last year to want off the train. Maybe I’m reaching, but it’s hard for me to envision him as even a good mentor at this point. Maybe another way of phrasing what I’m trying to say, is what you gain in on-field play, you lose in locker room chemistry with his character there.
Honestly Wilson is a washed diva too. One guy has teammates that love him and a press that hates him. The other guy has a press that loves him and teammates that think he is aloof and plastic. I'll take the guys who's teammates like him 10 out of 10 times. It used to drive me insane that people were constantly complaining about OBJ (back before the injuries caught up with him...) about the off field stuff. Because he teammates LOVED him. The Giants like to pretend playing in new york is a bigger deal then it is. And frankly I am so tired of it. Rus is rehearsed in front of the camera and won't have any crazy opinions that he spouts off... but he also won't spend time with his teammates and will need his own office so he doesn't have to sit in the locker room all the time. Giants brought in Winston to be the mentor / chemistry guy. They brought in Wilson to try and save their jobs.
Normally I would be in. But I am on a cruise ship with the family for spring break and am intentionally not getting internet so work has to leave me the F alone.
I'll wait a few on Underdog. In the meantime figure out which guy the Eagles want most and I'll auto the Jets after your pick.
