The trade with Dallas earlier worked out perfectly for me for meta reasons. Kinda dealing with stuff all throughout this draft and didn't have time to check the board and all that. So I did a half-assed job on preparing for one pick and ended up with it taking care of two picks.
I went with a ball hawk, not a perfect prospect, a little grabby but so wasn't JPJ. Wanted another guy but his medical scared me.
Kirk Cousins says he's waiting until the draft to agree to a trade since he doesn't want a repeat of a team getting him then taking a rookie. For mock draft purposes that fits me perfectly - I would prefer future picks rather than current ones for him anyway. So... if anyone wants to make a deal for Cousins just to wipe out (for mock purposes, at least) any chance that your team ends up with Aaron Rodgers, talk to me...
Pittsburgh fans do not want Diva Rodgers, we got enough issues with Pickens. The last thing we need is one of those eyerolls after a drop or a sack or wrong route. I hope he retires. There were signs, remember him in 2005 in the Green Room with his 'tude, smugness follows him. Best green room fail had to be Brady Quinn though, sorry Dawg, that was 2+ hours of pure popcorn entertainment.
Irish and I have had some chats about the cap mess that both our teams are in. It's ugly with a capital Ugh, especially for Cleveland. It makes me nauseous to think about it, but if I were suddenly the new Browns GM, I'd bite the bullet and stick with Watson as the starter for 2026 and maybe 2027. For 2025 I'd go cheap and free up as much cap as I could to roll into 2026 and help offset the hit from Watson's guaranteed salary. I might even implement my "Stoopid Defense" scheme. I'd actually suspect that Pittsburgh would be a better real life trade fit than Cleveland.
I have said the same, roughly. Rodgers is done. Probably hasn’t been above average for 4-5 years. And for some reason drags his same group of misfits everywhere he goes. Total distraction. Any GM signing him at this point should be arrested for grand theft for stealing ticket sales from thousands of fans, imo
You say that... but I wanted him instead of Russell Wilson lol. I was actually fine with Winston if that was the plan. The guy is at least fun and cheap. But if you were trying to sign a FA vet to try and steal a few games... he was my choice. Average QB would be a massive improvement for my Giants in a post 2016 world.
The Buccaneers select: Chimere Dike, WR - Florida The Chargers select: Kalel Mullings, HB/FB - Michigan
* Hey ALL So Joe and I will be hosting one more of these mocks, the “Official mock”, as is tradition. We’re looking to start Wednesday April 9. Picks will be 1 hour each for round 1, and 30 minutes per pick the rest of the way. Send me a PM if you would like to sign up, maybe list your top 2-3 choices for a team to run. I look forward to it as always. *******
Well I don't have to PM you, or text you, I am down for another mock. But I hope we get more active posters, taking 2 teams was not much fun, I like focusing on one board, one goal I will again take the Steelers.
Good to know I picked a RB that someone with more knowledge of the draft class than me thinks is worth a pick in this round. I thought it might have been a reach.
