I have friends in the hotel industry that run four and five star hotels. I can assure....it's not real. I think the last time I purposely put CNN on my TV screen was probably around 2003. Was just there a few months ago. Still a great city.
Same as the others. Protection from political revenge. Not saying it's right, not saying I like it. But that is what it is. Republicans have spent around eight years or more talking about how badly they want to prosecute Biden. Weaponizing the Justice department took a huge ramp up with Obama and it's been out of control since. The left does it to the right and the right does it to the left. And when the left does it their voters cheer and the voters on the right cry. Then the right does it and the same thing happens. It's ridiculously dumb and most definitely criminal but until American citizens stop fighting with each other and wise up and realize who the actual enemy is it's going to continue to happen.
A great city where illegals light women on fire. got it. My buddy runs Trash pickup for the hotels, he tells me the horror stories of the undocumented.
Name a major populated city where bad things never happen. I'll wait. My friend's cousin's wife's nephew's half brother does the same thing.
Well.....it looks like my post about me finding stupidly funny a proposal to rename Greenland to Red, White and Blueland took an ugly turn here. This one is on me. Glad everyone dropped by and you all are being civil with your discussions and haven't burned the place down. If you want to continue the conversation, may I recommend taking it over to the Political Discussions thread? I'd also be happy if you had any more content for the thread. I know we could all use a good laugh at the expense of some of the idiots that populate this planet;.
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A man was arrested for manslaughter after allegedly smoking marijuana with a friend and shooting him after the friend said he could “dodge a bullet,” according to arrest documents. Ashton Jonathan Mann, 23, was arrested just after 4 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, on one count of second-degree felony manslaughter and one third-degree felony charge related to firearms. According to an affidavit of probable cause filed in Salt Lake County, officials with Unified Police responded to a home in Kearns, Utah, after receiving reports that a man was shot in the chest. Officials found the victim unresponsive on the floor and took him to a local hospital, where he later died. In an interview with detectives, after he was read his Miranda rights, Mann reportedly told officials he and his friend had smoked marijuana around 8 p.m., and were talking about guns in the kitchen. Mann and his friend later went into the detached garage to continue their conversation. They were reportedly handling two different handguns when the victim “said he can dodge a bullet,” documents said. Mann told officials he and his friend unloaded each gun before he pointed a firearm at the victim and pulled the trigger, with his friend trying to “jump out of the way to prove he could move before the trigger was pulled.” Mann told officials they repeated that about six times. “[Mann] said the final time the gun fired striking [the victim] in the chest,” arrest documents said. Mann said the victim asked him to call 911 because he had been shot. Mann reportedly rendered aid to his friend until first responders arrived at the scene.
A German soccer match was canceled before kickoff after a referee suffered an unexpected injury after getting a bite on his testicle from a player's child. On Sunday, FC Taxi Duisburg II and SV Rot-Weiss Mülheim were set to compete in the eighth-tier Kreisliga C division. As part of routine pre-match protocol, referee Stefan Kahler was conducting ID checks on players when a young child, the son of an FC Taxi player, was running around the field, according to the National World. As Kahler continued his pre-game duties, the child unexpectedly approached him and bit him in the testicle. "While I was checking the FC Taxi players' ID, a small child was doing warm-up exercises alongside the players. He came closer and closer to me, then suddenly - to my complete surprise - gave me a sharp bite in my left testicle," Kahler said in a report obtained by the outlet. The injury was severe enough that Kahler, in significant pain, had to call off the match before it even began. In his official report, he confirmed that he could not officiate due to the pain and the bizarre nature of the incident. "I did not start the game, because of the pain I was in and the situation. It was the child of one of the FC Taxi players who was to blame," he said. The injury was severe enough that Kahler, in significant pain, had to call off the match before it even began. A man who stabbed a man 84 times, decapitated the victim and played soccer with his head was convicted of first-degree murder Thursday, prosecutors in New Mexico announce this week. Joel Arciniega-Saenz, 28, was found guilty of first-degree murder in the brutal killing of 51-year-old James Garcia on June 20, 2021, according to a release from the Third Judicial District Attorney’s Office. Dona Ana County District Court records show a jury convicted Arciniega-Saenz of the felony charge on Wednesday following a three-day trial before Judge Richard M. Jacquez. A sentencing date was not listed online Friday. The verdict came on the heels of what prosecutors called "a lengthy legal process" marked by challenges surrounding the defendant’s competency. Arciniega-Saenz, who officials said was unhoused at the time of the "gruesome" and "horrific attack," stabbed the victim seven dozen times with a small switchblade. The convicted felon also decapitated Garcia, cut off his finger and proceeded to “play soccer” with the victim’s head following the brutal murder, prosecutors said.

The victim was standing in an unoccupied parking stall to save it for a family member who was driving through a lot at a recreational facility, police said. As the woman waited for them to drive up, a separate vehicle arrived first. The driver began arguing with the woman and proceeded to drive into the stall, knocking her to the ground, police said. The woman was taken to hospital in stable condition with lower body injuries. Police said they arrested a 40-year-old woman and charged her with assault with a weapon and driving carelessly under the Highway Traffic Act.

Babysitter checking for monsters finds man hiding under child's bed A babysitter in Kansas found a troubling surprise after a child she was watching complained there was a "monster" hiding. The babysitter found a man hiding under a child's bed after they attempted to show the children there was nothing under there, the Barton County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Wednesday. "She came face-to-face with a male suspect who was hiding there," the sheriff's office said. Sheriff's deputies arrived at the home just outside the city of Great Bend at 10:30 p.m. on Monday after they were called about the disturbance. After the deputies arrived, the babysitter told the deputies that when the man was discovered, there was an altercation. The babysitter and child were knocked over during the scuffle and the suspect fled. The following day, deputies spotted the man while they were in the area looking for the suspect. He ran and after a short pursuit, deputies caught him. Martin Villalobos Jr., 27, was arrested and booked into the Barton County Jail on multiple charges, including aggravated kidnapping and child endangerment. The sheriff's office said Villalobos is being held on a $500,000 bond. Villalobos once lived on the property, the sheriff's office said. There was a current protection order issued against him to stay away from the property.
