That’s the thing with Wilson, he doesn’t go through progressions. He goes first read, then check down, then scramble. Also not sure why a 15+ year veteran is so easily confused by rolling coverages. Now I wonder if the crap play calling is due to the QB. Seemed like every 3rd down play is four vertical routes with a RB check down. Not terribly difficult to defend unless the defense underestimates the simplicity of the offense.

 

No you see some of the Elite QBs, who see the whole field, Wilson sees his main target covered and it goes downhill from there. I think PIttsburgh keeps Fields and lets Russ walk, you can't keep doing the same thing expecting better results. Keep your fingers crossed that Fantanu and Roman Wilson are productive parts of the Offense in 2025.
