Well Beck is done for the day, got his hand hit by Texas DL last play of the half. Stockton in getting chased right off the field. Texas is possessed.

Georgia got it in OT, but who will play QB in the playoffs?

Yeah he had one bad play but overall played really well. SMU in and Alabama is out :)

Georgia is going to have a rough time if Beck can’t play

Yeah for sure, he had ice on his elbow looked semi-serious. The Good news for Gideon and the rest of Dawg Nation, is they get an extra week off. By Beating Texas they get a bye, and are the #2 seed. Then they get a lesser opponent in ND or Indiana, two teams who had great records against a collection of mediocre teams compared to the SEC or ACC. They did beat Michigan but they had a down year, and got smoked by Ohio State. Then again Ohio State and Ryan Douche cannot beat anyone in championship type games. I can say the same for Penn State and Franklin. Notre Dame really had one signature win vs. Texas A&M, but then lost to Western Illinois, a game I saw and was jumping up and down for the huge underdog. I rooted for Michigan vs. Ohio State too, again cannot stand Ryan Douce's punchable face.

    My Bracket.

    Tennesee
    Texas
    Indiana
    SMU

    Oregon
    Georgia
    Texas
    Boise State

    Georgia
    Oregon

    Oregon

IF Beck doesn't play, then I see it differently. I think the Pass rush of Georgia will give either Indiana or Notre Dame fits. You have two top 15 picks rushing the edge vs. OT's who haven't played a team with this much speed or talent. Arizona State had a much easier route this year with the top teams in the Pac 12 going to the Big 10.

Crappy weekend for NCAA, I mean Army vs. Navy is an iconic matchup but not really great for scouting, maybe not much more than a feel good for America story. Major bummer though, there are 3 bowl games next Saturday, but they conflict with 2 NFL games, really a bad decision by both parties.

Football games for Saturday December 21st.

Penn St. vs. SMU 12 noon
    Texas vs. Clemson 4 pm
Ohio State vs. Tennessee 8 pm

    Chiefs vs. Texans 1 pm
    Steelers at Ravens 4:30 pm

    Re above^

Tre Harris is flying up boards, gone before I picked at 26, so I slid back, got pick 28 and 100 giving up 26 and 238. Pick 100 worked out as I grabbed a stud WR in Tory Horton at 90. completing my first 3 targets which were DL, WR, QB in no particular order. That lower pick @100 got me TJ Sanders, an absolute steal end of the third, equating with the Payton Wilson pick. With Sanders and Nolen the DLine will be set for years with Benton on the roster. I really like Rock Sanders, I think he's the RB Pittsburgh needs to replace Najee Fumbleruski. Also I am high on Daylan Everette as a CB to come in and add depth, compete as a starter. Smael Mondon at 225 was the steal of the 7th round, I think he contributes on ST immediately and will be a good rotational LB. Jonah Monheim, the scouting report isn't bad, but it's basing his 2024 work as a Center, a position he had never played before. He is a natural pass protector and quite honestly can play all 5 spots on the OL, and you dress him as your 7th or 8th Lineman. Of course no way am I passing up the QB for 2026 in Drew Allar, and I doubt he is there in the real draft. Give him a year or 2 under Wilson, let him learn to be a pro, he is only 20 years and will have just turned 21 on draft day. Trust me that's huge, get a young guy, a taller thicker QB to groom for your future. My humble $0.02 as a Keyboard Warrior.

I read somewhere that Aller is returning for his senior season.

Confirmed, Drew Allar will not enter the 2025 draft. Which means we will be live in Pittsburgh when the Steelers draft him. ;)

^ Didn't get an edge rusher, but we have Watt, Highsmith, Herbig, and Smith under contract, although Smith might have to take a pay cut. I went with Rocket Sanders over Bradyn Swinson because I think Najee is gone.
Not a huge fan of Riley Leonard but I like him better than a lot of the dumpster diving QBs that were available late. One guy to watch is the QB out of Indiana, Rourke, want to see how he does against Leonard. Again, keep an eye on CJ West, a DT who can push the pocket. I did take Alfred Collins, I think he is a sleeper D Lineman. I will keep taking Everette, I think he fits what the Steelers need opposite Junior. Sabb, I just like him much more than Ransom, and I think adding to the Safety room would be wise. The guy we like months ago, Emmanawori is continuting to ascend on boards, likely an early day 2 pick. Tre Harris not available, this is becoming a trend I see, in fact some sites have him ahead of Egbuka and Burden. Conerly is a guy who likely won't be there at 63, but I can only pick from what Pro Football Network allows me to select, StlCrtn is very high on him. I think Lacy is underrated, and nobody can argue that LSU is a WR factory. I took Monheim again, a swiss army knife OL that has upside and flexibility. Nolen is becoming my go to pick, since the WR group is getting picked over before #26.

2025 NFL Mock Draft: Owain Jones of Pro Football Network | NFL Mock Draft Database

Here PFN takes Walter Nolen over Tre Harris. I have Harris rated higher and then although Pitt needs both WR and DL, WR is more pressing. Two noteworthy omissions in that mock, Jalen Milroe and Ben Morrison. Given that Allar is now DQ @ pick 11, you have to think the Jets look at Milroe. 4 OT's going in round 1, like QB the value of the position sometimes outweighs the overall draft grade. Something I have had in the works, giving a draft grade based on positional value, that is the 3rd best OT is probably more important than the best RB.
The other elephant in the room is Free Agency, who's leaving, who is available. Instead of locking into Tre Harris, Emeka Ebuka, Luther Burden, why not spend the money on a proven guy like Chris Godwin? I think Tee HIggins will get a mega deal, somewhere other than Pittsburgh. I had high hopes for Roman Wilson, his season has been nothing short of disappointment. Previous 3rd round rookies I liked were Mike Wallace and Emmanuel Sanders instant production. Given the track record of drafting value on WRs I expected much more than an oft injured guy who hasn't done shit. The same can be applied to Fantanu just bad luck.. Corey Trice we keep hoping his luck changes, I am started to think the young man is cursed. I got a theory on Logan Lee and his calf. My Keyboard warrior guess is by keeping him on IR and off the PS, no other team can claim him. Let him heal up for 2025, I think Loudermilk will be gone in FA, he simply slides into that role. I do like Dean Lowry as a rotational guy, keeps Cam fresh. The scary thing is that both Najee and Jaylen Warren are both free agents, I think Kahn will work out a deal for RB, but not both.

For a little group of draft nuts, it's nice to see we now are approaching 1.3M views. I look at some of the "National" mocks for Pittsburgh and wonder what the fuck they are thinking, anyone else agree? Steelers Wire has

    26. Savion Williams WR TCU
    59. Alfred Collins DT Texas
    90. Azareye'h Thomas CB Florida St.
    128, RJ Harvey RB UCF
    156. Chase Lundt OT UConn.

In my humble opinion every single pick is an overdraft. Could some of these guys be in Kahn's radar, sure, but they are going way to early for my liking and missing out on more talented, proven prospects. The problem with his mock is that you cannot see who he passed on, who else was available. At least when I do a mock I Give my thoughts and what ifs and I took so and so over this guy because. Savion Williams is way too raw for the first round. Not a solid route runner or experienced in press man. He also doesn't block as well as you would hope for a 225 pound wide receiver. Collins "could go" late second, but I just think there will be better options and he is similar to Benton, you are looking for Cam's replacement, not Benton's backup. Thomas does have length, but my man Everette out of Georgia is smoother and faster. RJ Harvey projects the same as Jalen Warren, UDFA who can make a roster. Lundt is a good prospect, but too early to take a flyer on a kid who has limited exposure to top competition and at 6-8 305 he may lack the bulk to play in the North.

Blow Pix is now 0 fer vs. Teams with Winning records. Not a fan of him or his coach, rooting for the Chargers.

But I gotta tell you Ladd McConkey is the real deal. Is there another guy in the draft like him? Closest I got is Xavier Restrepo. I will be watching the combine for guys who are good route runners. As the playoffs start tomorrow for the NCAA I will be watching to see which guys know how to find the open spot in zone. Should be fun, watching the Saturday games on DVR, as the NFL takes precedence.
