O’Connell puts 3 receivers where you put 2 dbs. They weren’t in the same spot at the same time and chunk plays happen. Fucking miraculous.
Tyrique Stevenson, the CB that Poles drafted in the second round instead of a player that is now a starting and very good Center. Caleb Williams has had his rookie season derailed, in part, because he has had the worst Center in football snapping him the ball. If Poles isn't fired this offseason, you're dooming this team to another 4, minimum, years of misery.
So, it's been very clear for a long time now that Poles is in over his head and - aside from when another, equally bad GM traded with him (a guy that got fired shortly after, mind you) - has no idea how to evaluate talent or build a successful football team. It has been very clear that the coaching staff is in over their heads and have no idea how to manage the time of or properly educate / lead a winning football team. What is also clear is that, by all metrics, Caleb Williams is headed for a bust of a career. After this absolutely disastrous - and I cannot stress that enough - shitshow of a season, he has developed none of the building blocks he needs to be successful. He is among lots of complete bust QB's who have been thrown into a woodchipper in their rookie seasons. I said it when Fields was drafted, and I said it for Caleb - this very talented young man has to survive the Chicago Bears. From all accounts, it's not looking good right now.
Please, someone put Troy Aikman out to pasture. They're showing Ryan Poles, and he's saying, "I don't think this is Ryan Poles' fault in any way. The defense hasn't played well, and they haven't been able to run the ball. Is that his fault? No. ... Whoever the head coach is, and I think Ryan Poles should be the guy to make that decision - everything I'm hearing says that he will be - he's got to get it right". Please, line Aikman up alongside Poles and Georgie, and let them go play in a field somewhere. Please keep them far, far away from football.
He had a point when he said ‘You know the bears are one of the only teams we watch, where multiple receivers are all in the same spot on a play, and I don’t think that’s a good idea on how to run an offense.’ But otherwise, he’s not as bad as Romo.
Well yeah, Poles & Flus gave them some "aw shucks, I love football, gee willickers, HITS!" nonsense and after George came in his pants it was time to hire.
